100% Achievements: A Comprehensive Guide

An accurate, detailed and complete guide on how to unlock every achievement in Bugsnax.

General Achievements

"Wonderfalls"

Check behind the waterfall for secrets.
You can earn this achievement as soon as you find Filbo on the ground during the tutorial. To his right are two waterfalls. The left waterfall contains a hidden passage; enter it to unlock this achievement.

If you didn't do this during the tutorial, you can visit Flavor Falls anytime to unlock it.

"Perf Dirt"

Steal Beffica's diary from her cave.
You'll meet Beffica early on when you first make your way to Snaxburg. She's currently living in the cave just outside the town.

If you go inside the cave, you should spot a purple diary on a table inside; this is her diary. If you try to take it when she's outside, she'll yell at you to bug off and quit being weird.

As you progress the story, you can do some side quests for her and get her to move to Snaxburg.

Once she does, swipe the diary from the cave at any time. You thief!

"Launch Party"

Stun a flying Bugsnak by launching another Bugsnak at it.
This achievement sounds harder than it really is; what you'll need is the Lunchpad, so wait until you get this one.
You can do this in several locations, but for the sake of this example, I went to Flavor Falls and walked over to the area with the two waterfalls. There will be a Sandopede walking about. Drop the lunchpad on this path and right click to aim the lunchpad.

Move the cursor to the Green Lollive flying around (the orange trajectory marker will turn blue) so that it follows it. Wait for the Sandopede to move onto the pad and then trigger it. It might take a try or two, but it'll launch several segments of the Sandopede and hopefully one hits the Green Lollive.

Once it knocks it out of the sky, you'll unlock this achievement.

"Talkin' Bout Bugsnax"

Interview every Grumpus.
You can check who you've interviewed in your journal at any given time. Just speak to each Grumpus that moves to Snaxburg for the first time. As long as you ask all the questions available in each interview, you'll unlock this achievement without any trouble.

"Say Cheese!"

Scan a Grumpus after saucing them with cheese.
You gain access to cheese sauce when you unlock the Sizzlin' Sands. If you haven't recruited every Grumpus back to Snaxburg like I did, you can either reload your save right before heading out of town with Filbo for the final mission (which you can just cheese him for it), or for the other secret portion of the game that has you set up a base camp outside Snaxburg.

Any of those ways work, so simply smack them with cheese, then scan them with your camera.

General Achievements

"Documentarian"

Watch all of Lizbert's video diaries.
There are a total of five different video diaries that you can find and watch in Lizbert & Eggabell's house. They can be found here:

	Video Diary #1	On the table in their home, right next to the projector. Easy find!
	Video Diary #2	Lizbert's locked cabinet. Once you bring Beffica back to Snaxburg, interview her and she'll give you the key.
	Video Diary #3	Eggabell's locked trunk. Bring back Chandlo and Snorphy from Sugarpine woods and interview Chandlo for the key.
	Video Diary #4	Located in Sugarpine woods. Enter the area, take a right and follow the ridge to find a backpack, maps and this diary reel.
	Video Diary #5	Convince both Shelda and Floofty to return to Snaxbug. Shelda has a lockbox of Eggabell's, to which Floofty has the key. Interview both to unlock the box and find the final film reel.

"Clothesline"

Stun a Bugsnak with the Trip Shot attached to your Buggy Ball.
There's a plethora of places that this can be done, but if you just want an easy place to earn the achievement, head over to Flavor Falls. In the narrow passageway that the Sandopede roams, just up your trap as shown to unlock this achievement with minimal effort.

"Candid Cryptid"

Scan the Snaxsquatch.
You might find this mystical creature on your own so I won't spoil too much of it. There are several locations that it'll pop up at you, but if you really want to find it easily, go to the Scorched Gorge.

Head over to the upper level where Cromdo was originally at and sleep until midnight, then look up at the three windmills. If you're lucky, you might just see the Snaxsquatch standing there...

Watching....waiting... Spooky!

It may take a few nights, but it'll show.

Catching Achievements

"Double Trapper"

Catch more than one Bugsnak in your Snak Trap at once.
Can be done in most areas, but an easier method I found is to head over to Garden Grove and under the rocky cave where you'll spot two Fryders on the ceiling. Set down your trap and shoot a glob of ketchup onto it to attract both.

Once they come down, trigger your trap once both are in range to unlock this achievement.

"Quartermaster", "Halfway There", "Got to Catch Them All"

Catch 25 unique species of Bugsnax, Catch 50 unique species of Bugsnax & Catch 100 unique species of Bugsnax.
Catch any 25, 50 then 100 unique Bugsnax. There's nothing else to it; if you want to see what snax you're missing, check your journal to see what areas have missing snax in them.

There's a total of 111 Bugsnax in total, so you do not need to catch every available Bugsnax in the game, so if you find some to be particularly difficult to capture, you have a little bit of leeway in skipping some.

"Grab Bag"

Empty one biome of all its Snakpods.
Snakpods don't move about and resemble bags of snacks or chips. For this example, I went to Garden Grove, but you can go to other areas should you so desire to unlock the achievement elsewhere. I picked this one since it is one of the smaller areas to search.

If you're having trouble finding each Snakpod's location, you can find them in the locations below. Once you collect all five, this achievement will unlock.

"In The Arms of the Gramble"

Donate max amount of Bugsnax to Gramble's ranch.
Donating Bugsnax to Gramble's ranch will net you upgrades to how many snax you can carry at any one time.

Aside from that, you also get the pleasure of going there and petting any of the wandering snax. How lucky are you!

You need to donate a total of 36 Bugsnax to unlock this achievement, though you can still donate more afterwards if you're feeling especially generous.

"Dapper Capper"

Collect 10 hats.

The hats come into play by viewing the board next to Gramble's Bugsnax sanctuary (attached to the side of his barn). The picture shows what area a hat is at and they will be on a random Bugsnax in that area.

To collect the hat, you'll need to catch the Bugsnax first, then the hat will be placed on the board along the bottom on the hangers.

Only five hats are displayed at a time, the rest are on the corralled Bugsnax in the pen, so don't worry about it only showing you five and then stopping.

Collect ten to unlock this achievement.

Grumpus Achievements

"Combo Meal" & "Sundae Best"

Transform a Grumpus with Bunger, Fryder, and Sodie & Transform a Grumpus with Scoopy, Banopper, and Cheery.
You can do this at any point, but in the Garden Grove, you can find all three of these snax roaming around during a bright and sunny day. Feed all three to any hungry Grumpus to unlock "Combo Meal".

You can do the second one at any point as well and, much like the achievement, "Combo Meal", you'll need three specific Bugsnax. You can find Scoopy in Frosted Peaks along with Cherry and Banopper (who are part of Scoopy Banoopy).

Collect all three and feed them to any Grumpus to transform them and unlock "Sundae Best".

NOTE: You can use Red Banopper from Boiling Bay as well and it will still work in place of the yellow Banopper.

"Midnight Snak"

Transform Gramble.
Upon getting Gramble to rejoin Snaxburg, stay up and in town around midnight and you'll notice Gramble sleepwalking. The only way to feed Gramble any bugsnax is during this time, since, as you know, he staunchly refuses to eat them.

Feed him any one Bugsnax to unlock this achievement.

"I'm Stuffed" & "Feeding Frenzy"

Fully transform a Grumpus & Fully transform every Grumpus.
You won't be able to do this until you bring Floofty back to Snaxburg. During one of her side quests, she'll ask you to feed her various snax as part of her deranged experiments.

Once you complete them all and she returns to town, talk to her again and she'll have one more request: turn her completely into snax. Her goal is to regenerate her head because....why not, right?!

When you fully transform her, you'll unlock this achievement. To unlock the second achievement, "Feeding Frenzy", you have to fully transform every Grumpus in Snaxburg. This just means everyone living there that you bring back and does not count Eggabell or Lizbert.

"Know Thy Neighbor"

Return every Grumpus to Snaxburg.
Returning all the Grumpuses to Snaxburg is mostly a story-driven achievement and isn't really one you need to worry about. You'll need to talk to various Snaxburg residents at different points in the game to unlock the main story achievement.

Consider this one also part of the "Story Achievement" section.

Side Quest Achievements

"Sidetracked"

Complete all of the side quests.
Completing all the side quests isn't terribly difficult, nor very time consuming if you work on them as you work on the main storyline. To view which ones you have, go to your journal.

Select the notepad icon and select the side quest icon. Each side quest is neatly shown next to the person requesting it and crossed out if you've already completed them.

In total, there are 38 side quests to complete to unlock this achievement.

"Bossy Bugs"

Defeat all of the Legendary Bugsnax.
The Legendary Bugsnax are, essentially, the "boss" Bugsnax if you will. They come out at the end of certain characters' side quest story arc. To avoid too many spoilers, I won't go too far into detail about them; they aren't difficult to defeat.

To find them, you just need to progress the main story and complete the side quest lines for:

• Wiggle
  
• Cromdo
  
• Snorpy
  
• Chandlo

You can do the side quests and, in turn, defeat any of the four Legendary Bugsnax in any order you choose. Once you defeat the fourth one, this achievement will unlock.

"Deep Impact"

Complete the adventure at Broken Tooth.
Broken Tooth is a mini adventure to a neighboring island that is accessible after completing the side quests for Snorpy, Chandlo, Triffany, Floofty, and Shelda. Once you do, you'll gain access to the island via a raft made by Chandlo.

There will be additional secrets, puzzles and character development on the island for those that venture there, so I won't delve too much into the details for those wishing to go without spoilers. Each Grumpus that comes with you will have a small story arc that you need to complete to unlock the mystery of the island.

Once you do, you'll return to Snaxburg and unlock this achievement.

Hut Achievements

"Live Laugh Hut"

Fully furnish your hut.
First off, to get your hut, you need to recruit Triffany, Gramble, and Wiggle. Lastly, recruit Chandlo and he'll build a starter house for you on the plot of land given to you.

You may have noticed that you're, on occasion, getting mail from the Snaxburg residents that you can use to decorate your small house with. Well, to unlock this achievement, you''ll need to complete small errands (different than side quests) or perform unique tasks to earn goodies.

Go to your journal and select the hut icon. Under this, you'll find a slew of tasks that various Grumpuses are giving you, though only five are active at any one time, you can still do the ones that don't show up.

You need to earn at least one item for every location of your hut; every spot that has a decoration option needs to be filled. It doesn't matter what you use. The catch, is that you need to do enough of them to earn a second story that Chandlo builds for you.

To earn it, you need to do 50 mail in tasks. If you hit 50 and you don't have the hut, travel elsewhere, then back to Snaxburg to trigger it.

You do not need to do all of the tasks, so you're free to skip the long or difficult ones. For the sake of completion, here is a list of every task you can do and the item(s) you'll be rewarded. They're broken up by category. Get to it!

Hut Achievements

	Red Cedar	Return Chandlo to Snaxburg.	Chandlo can be found in Sugarpine Woods with Snorpy.
	Beechwood	Find a lost item for Wambus.	Found in Flavor Falls (where you first ended up at the very start of the game. You need the Lunchpad to reach the cliff that it is sitting on.
	Painted Hut	Investigate the intrusion at Snaxburg.	Story event.
	Bestie	Scan a Crapple carrying another Crapple.	Best done in Simmering Sands. You need to make a trail of chocolate to have both Crapples meet up, then douse one in chocolate and the other one will pick it up. Scan it!
	Metal Plating	Feed an Aggroll to the mystery grumpus.	The mystery grumpus is Snorpy. Aggrolls are found in the Frosted Peak biome.
	Bone and Stone	Scan a Pinkle wearing an Aggroll box.	Can only be done in the Forsted Peak. Melt the trapped Aggroll in the ice, then remove both covers on each Bugsnax, and take the Pinckle jar away. It should scurry to the box now.
	Igloo	Fall from the highest point in Frosted Peak to the lowest point.	Head over to the camp from the previous exploration team, then run and jump over the edge of the cliff.
	Knitted	Donate a mystery Bugsnak to Gramble's barn.	It's a Cheery. It is part of Scoopy Banoopy. Light one on fire in the Frosted Peak so it separates, then catch the Cheery.
	Pirate Ship	Capture all Bugsnax in Boiling Bay	Capture all 15 Bugsnax.
	Ebony-Stained Wood	Purge a Razzby	Donate a Razzby to Shelda's donation box; they are found in the Simmering Sands.
	Eyes	Pick up the triangle key	The triangle key is locked behind a door in Broken Tooth, unlocked by bringing fire to the small ruin with the Pielobite.
	Gilded	Perform a power nap.	Power nap means taking a nap of only a few minutes. Go to bed at 11:50am until noon, for example.
	Police Tape	Remove toilet paper from the outhouse.	Take all the toilet paper out of the outhouse, then sleep until noon. Beffica will run to the bathroom and you'll unlock this item.

	Bestie Print	Scan a Hunnabee with a basketball stuck to it.	Simply go to Superpine Woods and grab a basketball. Throw it on a Hunnabee and snap a scan of it.
	Sports Print	Catch one too many snax with a fully expanded Snakpack.	You can hold a maximum of 18 Bugsnax. When you are full, capture one more.
	Wood Panel Print	Feed a Caramel Poptick to the mystery grumpus.	Caramel Popticks from Flavor Falls (has to be raining)
	Blueprint Print	Catch 5 Snakpods in under 30 seconds.	Garden Grove is the best place for this, as it is the smallest.

	Rock Club Sign	Transform a grumpus using 13 different fruit-containing snax.	Strabby, White Strabby, Razzby, Black Razzby, Ruby Peelbug, Orange Peelbug, Yellow Peelbug, Green Peelbug, Kweeble, Golden Kweeble, Pineantula, Crapple, Green Crapple, Cheery, Scoopy Banoopy.
	Privacy Curtains	Scan 50 environment objects.	Just keep scanning stuff with your camera and you should unlock this without trouble.

	Snaxgoyle	Scope the Snaxsquatch in 3 different locations.	Scorched Gorge by the three windmills, Garden Grove to the right of the bridge to Sanxburg, or Sugarpine Woods at night, go right from when you fast travel to it. It'll be among the trees close to where the video reel was found.
	Satellite Dish	Find a lost item for Snorpy.	Go to Sugarpine Woods and you'll find this bag on the top of the basketball hoop.

	Glowy Stars	Scan a Sandopede hanging from a Lollive.	Cover a Sandpopede in cheese sauce when it's in the middle of the two rivers from the waterfalls in Flavor Falls. A Lolilive will then pick them up and you can scan it.
	Draped Fabrics	Stay on fire continuously for over 30 seconds.	Go to Boiling Bay and jump in the lava pit. Stay in it for 30 seconds. Easy stuff.
	Protective Coat Hangers	Catch 5 different Bugsnax in under 60 seconds.	Best place to get this done is Flavor Falls, due to the Sandopede being broken up and counting as multiple Bugsnax. Just set up your traps to catch a Strabby, then trigger the Sandopede, the Strabby, Pinkler with the Grappler and snag a Snakpod as the fifth with your grappler.
	Ceiling Fan	Pick up all of Cromdo's discarded posters.	From earlier in the game when you put them all up. Go pick them all up now.
	Test Tube Lights	Transform a grumpus using 3 different compound snax.	Preying Picantis, Scoopy Banoopy, Paletoss Grande, Big Bopsicle
	Knit Baskets	Donate the mystery Bugsnak to Gramble's barn.	Black Lollive - Sizzlin' Sands
	Streamers	Return all the grumpuses to Snaxburg.	You'll return all of them through normal gameplay.

	Grow Light Nursery	Complete all sidequests for Wambus.	Complete all of Wampus' side quests.
	Big Safe	Find a lost item for Cromdo.	Scorched Gorge - go to the area where the BBQ Bunger is and use your Lunch Pad to launch yourself to the top point of the peak to pick up the bag.
	Bookshelf	Capture 10 Bugsnax in under 90 seconds.	Flavor Falls - do this after defeating Mama Mewon, since you'll have access to all the Wee Mewons in the area.
	Armoire	Transform a grumpus using all 4 Sweetiefly variants.	Sweetiefly, found in Garden Grove. Lovely Sweetiefly, found in Simmering Springs. Crystal Sweetiefly, found in Scorched Gorge. Rainbow Sweetiefly, found in Sugarpine Woods.

Puzzle Achievements

"That Reminds Me of A Puzzle"

Solve the secret of the lava cave or the secret of the dunes.
You can solve either puzzle (or both if you want to) to unlock this achievement. For the sake of completion, here are both solutions.

In the Boiling Bay, enter the lava cave and you'll see four statues against the far wall. Press them in the order shown below to unlock this achievement and open up a shortcut to the Sizzlin' Sands.

For the puzzle in Sizzlin' Sands, activate the states the same way you did in the Lava Cave by pressing each statue in the order they are facing one another, with the fourth one being the last, as it is facing the secret entrance to the Boiling Bay.

Story Achievements

"Everybody Gets One"

Catch your first Bugsnak.
This achievement is story-driven and cannot be missed. You'll earn it while doing the opening tutorial after meeting Filbo for the first time.

"Gone Home"

Find your way to Snaxburg.
This achievement is story-driven and cannot be missed. You'll earn it while doing the opening tutorial. At the end of the tutorial, you'll be taken to Snaxburg and earn this achievement.

"Vacation's End" & "Survivor"

Complete the main story of Bugsnax.
This achievement is story-driven and cannot be missed. You'll earn it once you complete the main story of the game.

Alternatively, you can earn a hidden achievement by saving all the characters at the end of the game during the escape sequence. If you've done all the side quests and unlocked the achievement, then you can't miss it.

Completing all side quests for a character makes them invincible during the ending; if you don't finish them for a character, you have to protect them from the Bugsnax, otherwise they can be killed.

Upon finishing the game with everyone will net you the achievement "Survivor".
