Artifact Guide and Respawning Artifact Farming Locations
Von Lt.Col. Anon Xer0
A quick Reference guide for artifact farming to help plan routes. Started slightly before the v1.13 update, and will be updated when necessary.
Artifacts referenced here are noted to have Respawned at least twice.
Please post in comments on any info I may have missed, and I'll update the guide to reflect that.

Quick Reference map
This current map comprises artifact hunting with trader stops just after leaving lesser zone.
Difficulty and survival not assured.

Most side missions that occur along the routes have a negligible impact on the main story.
Artifacts that have not spawned again are skipped. Might be my save file but certain artifacts have not respawned for me no matter how many times I have checked.
I'll update this as I proceed through the game.
Useful notes
  • Like the blueprints, the artifacts do not need to be collected in a single savefile, but it is recommended to find them all within the same save slot.

  • As of patch 1.1.4 and prior, there have been reports of artifact rarity being swapped at a certain point in the game, that being Past the SIRCAA Main quest common and legendary drop rates get swapped. Meaning it is recommended to find all the common artifacts you can before entering SIRCAA

  • Emissions stop occurring around endgame, so don't wait until endgame to grind out the achievement.

You can take a long way down, and fight a pair of bloodsuckers, or you can just fall straight down through a hole in one of the houses.

4. Deaf Meadow
Gravitational Anomalies
Known Threats: Bandits, Boars

There will be a short sidequest here. If you want to loot the body without consequences, throw the body slightly upwards and towards the quest giving NPC, while rapidly tapping F on your keyboard. That will allow you to loot the guy whilst in a conversation cutscene.

5. Pol Depot
Electrical Anomalies
Known Threats: Bandits. Always.
Jump up on the ladder up from the pipe. Put your detector and bolt away before the jump.
Garbage (7)

Gravitational Anomalies, And Glass Shard Anomalies
Known Threats: Haven't encountered any yet.
Burnt Forest (4)

Confirmed Respawning Artifacts: 4

Thermal Anomalies
Known Threats: Bandits

3. Burning Rift
Thermal Anomalies
Known Threats: Bandits

There's a Scanner here too.

4. Helicopter Base

2?. Northwest Red Fortress
Thermal Anomalies
Known Threats: Sometimes bandits, Zombies. There's a Ward Sniper atop the fortress.
Testing for the artifact in the area to be recurring. Area looks like the sort of place an artifact would respawn, but hasn't as of yet.
Chemical Plant (6)

Confirmed Respawning Artifacts: 6

1. Gas Station outside Chemical Plant
Gravitational Anomalies
Known Threats: Ward, if you're hostile, but usually bandits, rats and dogs some times.

3. Promin CMD Factory
Gravitational Anomalies, and Glass Shard Anomalies
Known Threats: rats

4. Island in the middle of a lake South of Storage on a Hill
Psi Anomaly
Known Threats: I'll leave that to your imagination.

Multiple copies of artifacts will spawn until you can pick up the right one. Trying to get in and out fast is the challenge. The cost and rarity of psi-block on Veteran difficulty makes this not worthwhile unless you already have the necessary psi-protection to be unaffected entirely.

5. Toxic Bog
Chemical Anomalies
Known Threats: Boars, Fleshes, random patrols by different factions

6. Chemical Tanks
Chemical Anomalies
Known Threats: Snorks.

As it ties to being allied to ward, to access a buggy side mission here, I have avoided this area. An artifact is tied to a sidequest. You can keep it should you pick up a PDA from a body.

The side quest from Rostok will unlock route to tunnels
Wild Island (3)

Confirmed Respawning Artifacts: 3

You can glitch your way unto the Island, but it's ill advised, as it may break story elements. It's not a spoiler that you require story progression to enter into this island, making farming areas 2, and 3, unavailable until those circumstances are met.

1. Stone Village
Psi Anomalies
Known Threats: Loners, who become Zombies

Multiple Copies spawn.

Duga (3)

Confirmed Respawning Artifacts: 3
Do not recommend glitching your way in here. If close to the barrier walls, you are likely to be killed by a ghost sniper that is impossible to hide from. If you do manage to glitch your way in here, getting out will be just as tedious and not worth it.

1. Metal structures Northwest of Duga Substation
Thermal Anomalies
Known Threats:

2. Commissary Store
Electrical Anomalies

Debugging Artifacts that spawn Underground/Fallen through the world
Some artifacts just spawn underground or fall through the world, and are impossible to get to.
Not condoning cheating or the like, but we'll assume that we're manually debugging an issue.
For that we'll need unreal engine tools.
https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/64

The most useful console commands will be these:
XCreateItemInInventoryByID Gilka 0 1 1

UETools_Ghost
UETools_Walk

XTeleportTo 401851.93 549233.31 573.41(Zalyssya)

Now, assuming you don't wish to fiddle with more complex commands.
0. Save your game.
1. Equip Hilka Detector. If you don't have one, the console command is above.
2. Use UETools_Ghost, to go through either cave wall or nearby building basement's wall to have no floor under you.
3. Use UETools_Walk to fall slightly, press the escape key to quickly pause and use UETools_Ghost again to stop your falling.
4. Move to artifact, fall and pause repeatedly until the numerical proximity of the Hilka Detector hits 002. You should be able to collect the artifact in this range.
5. Use (XTeleportTo 401851.93 549233.31 573.41) to teleport yourself back to Zalyssya, and (UETools_Walk) to return to playing as per normal.

What other complex commands are there?
Well, key binding flying up and down on ghost mode would make things even easier.
This guide will help with that and there are more detailed options regarding the utility here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3375681819

Why the Hilka detector?
The Hilka detector will let you know of your proximity to the artifact on a numerical basis, but what sets it apart from the other detectors, is that it also includes your proximity to the artifact on a vertical axis, which will help you find out how low, or how high it is, relative to you.

I've read similar reports.
You went the extra mile testing this, so I believe it's only right that I credit you when I quote your report in the guide.
Lucathegreat 1. Feb. um 10:38
Ok, I solved it: can confirm they DON'T need to be on a single savefile all together, just like the blueprints it's enough to find them on any save in the current save slot. For some reason the Whirlwind artifact was causing the issue, I picked it up some days ago in another save, but I believe it bugged out or whatever, because now I found it again in the main save and still said "new", thus unlocking the achievement. Weird.

Anyway, for those collecting them legit, I'd add to the guide that yes, once you're past some point the common and legendary drop rates get swapped or something, and getting a single common artifact will be very difficult, while you're swarmed with rare/legendaries.

I read this happens past the SIRCAA main quest, can't say for sure, but still, since at the endgame there are no more emissions for respawning, I'd recommend to get ALL common artifacts before doing the SIRCAA quest, just in case.
Lt.Col. Anon Xer0  [Autor] 30. Jan. um 11:20
I can think of 2 options for you.
First part is to check all the artifacts you have, preferably if you did not sell them, and fill your
box with the missing ones from a checklist.

To do that is to either savescum around the PSI anomalies that spawn multiple copies because they give the fastest identifiable artifacts, or of the anomaly type listed in the index.

The other option is to spawn the artifacts in with the console command codes that other guides on here have. You'll find out real quick what artifact you're missing, but it won't feel legit and you can't re-lock an achievement once you got it.
Lucathegreat 30. Jan. um 10:52
No idea what's the issue then... like, I missed 1 blueprint so the one after the point of no return gave no achievement. I reloaded the save, got the one I missed and the achievement popped without the need to get that last one again since it was already discovered in the save slot.
Same here: I missed like 6 commons, I got 3 on my current save, then I reloaded and got the other 3. But the previous 3, if/when found again, didn't count as "discovered" again since (if it's like the blueprints) they were already found in the save slot.
Only thing I can think of is trying to get all those last 3 in the previous save where all the other artifacts are... :/
Lt.Col. Anon Xer0  [Autor] 30. Jan. um 10:12
I don't think all of them have to be in your inventory at the same time, but as long as you have discovered them all.
Lucathegreat 30. Jan. um 9:07
just saying this because for the blueprints only the slot seems to matter, maybe it's the same
Lucathegreat 30. Jan. um 8:34
Do they have to be ALL in one save file to count for the achievement? I'm at the endgame and there's barely any respawn since there are no more emissions and some have a fixed spawn. Still, I picked up a couple new ones, then reloaded the save and searched for the others - the previous ones, if found again, weren't appearing as *new* anymore, but I think I got all of them now.. and no achievement.
I got the Mold from that subquest, never seen it again anymore, and same for the Rat King. Meat Chunk isn't by the tree so I assume I got it and traded at some point.
lowercase 6. Jan. um 4:34
@Andonbr, you can do save-milking. Quick save 100-150m from the anomaly and just keep reloading the save until you get the artifact you want.

It is important to save far enough, otherwise you'll be getting the same artifact over and over again. (I assume anomalies just pre-spawn artifacts if you're approaching it).
delo 5. Jan. um 14:35
Big big thanks, just got the few final artifacts I was missing.

I can also confirm that there’s no artifact respawn in Yantar’s third entry, the Chasm. Been there a lot of times during my playthrough, just got the one you get when you reach the stalker’s body and nothing still.
Lt.Col. Anon Xer0  [Autor] 4. Jan. um 14:48
Might be right, things might have changed with the 1.13 patch.
Got like 20 hypercubes after selling half of them.
