How to make aerogel

To make Aerogel, you need a gel sack and a ruby, both of which can be hard to come by in the early game, I'm a noob myself, but, I found a fairly safe and easy location that has (or at least it had for me) both of the required ingredients for Aerogel.

Gel sacks and ruby seem to spawn in caves and some deep areas, There are a bunch of them in the blood kelp trench or right by the edge of it if I remember right, I think there might be ruby there too or maybe just in the Lost River, but that's not the spot I'm talking about.

The spot I'm talking about is in the same hole as Lifepod 19 (300m deep), I found one Gel Sack at the bottom of the hole, watch out for those tiger plants. I found rubies on the sides of the hole, I think there were 3-5 rubies there, scattered around on the walls.

Now you can't make a lot of aerogel with one Gel Sack, so what I did was go back to my base, plant the Gel Sack in my outdoor grow bed, hit it with the knife 2x, 3x makes the Gel Sack dissapear but you can replant them so it's not the end of the world, every time you hit the Gel Sack it gives you Gel Sack spores, plant those in the grow bed and then you can repeat after they grow if you need more or just collect all but a few so you don't run out.

Now to actually craft Aerogel, you need to go to your fabricator, recources, advanced materiels, and Aerogel should be there, 1 Gel Sack + 1 ruby = 1 Aerogel.

Extra info, the biome this cave is in is called the sparse reef, and if you go through the cave network there you can find tons of gel sacks, I just left there with like 15 of them.
