About

Journey of the Prairie King minigame:
"King of the Prairie" is a "Twin-Stick" style shooter minigame, where there are 2 JoySticks - or in the case of the keyboard, 8 keys - that are responsible for the player's movement and shooting.
Note: The player can shoot and move by pressing two keys at the same time on the computer, as in the example below:
WASD_WD

You start with three lives - "x3" in the left corner - , and your character is killed if touched by an enemy or shot. Losing your last life results in a Game Over. In each level, waves of enemies appear from the four central corners and move towards you. The level is completed when all enemies are defeated.

Locations

It can be found and played in the Sallon or in Abigail's room.

Items

Each enemy defeated can drop an item, which is not affected by the luck of the day.
The items are stored in the upper left corner of the screen and can be used with the "Space" key. If you pick up an item with the space stored, the item picked up is used automatically.

Tips
How to beat King of the Prairie (without dying)
At the beginning, play until you reach the second level without dying, exit ("esc") and save the game while sleeping in your bed. The next day, if you die (lose life), go back to the Stardew Valley home screen and load the save again, do this until you move on to the next level.
Keep doing this until you finish the game. For better results and faster progress, use the Key to the Town, which can be purchased in Mr. IQ's cave (click if you already have the amount of nuts to enter Mr. IQ's cave).

New tip: If you beat King of the Prairie (whether you die or not), the next day you will win an arcade game that you can place in your house. Place this arcade game next to your bed and you will be able to beat the game faster without dying.

Additional tips:
  • Get as many coins as possible;
  • Don't use the Nuclear Bomb/Nuke, as the enemies don't drop coins;
  • Use the Wheel and Gun powerups, which, if used at the same time, will shoot in 24 directions at once;
  • Adjust the zoom level, which influences the portion of the screen that the minigame takes up;
  • Always buy ammunition and weapons from the vendor's store;
  • When necessary, use the Spike Ball to your advantage to hinder enemies;
  • Play with a controller.

You're welcome, SapienChavez. I'm glad I could help. One more tip: if you beat King of the Prairie (whether you die or not), the next day you'll get an arcade game that you can put in your house. Put this arcade game next to your bed and you'll beat the game faster without dying. You can play on it:espresso:

Wait, you can exit the game and return? so THAT is how to do this!? this seems impossible in one go! This will be a long haul, taking a day for each save... but I see light at the end of the tunnel now!

That tip alone was worth the price of admission!

Thank you!
