WHAT IT IS :0

hi :^)

For this tech we're takin advantage of a concept known as attack cancellin! You may have heard fightin game nerds talk about this!

The basic concept of attack cancellin is to take advantage of some mobility/stance effect of an attack and then cancel the attack before it runs its full course, thereby avoidin a recovery period while benefittin from whatever desired effect the initial attack animation has.

In Atlyss you can take advantage of cancellin your jump attack with any weapon that creates a forward lunge (katars, polearms, swords, etc) in order to get an extra boost of mobility and land on the ground ready to immediately dash again!
HOW 2 DOIT
Fortunately this movement tech is incredibly simple! All you gotta do is--

1. Jump

2. Jump attack

3. Tap the block button. You can do this pretty much immediately and retain the boost from the attack, and you only need to hit the block button ever so briefly!

4. Be happy the nice creature taught you a nifty lil trick! And don't point out that these screenshots are from different attempts i have to do the fn + f12 thing to screenshot and it's like playin twister with my hands i literally had to use the heel of my palm to m1 do you know how annoyin it is to coordinate all that and no i will not be remappin my inputs for this i don't like fiddlin with my input mappin
SUGGESTIONS AND EXTRAZ
This is incredibly nifty since it allows you to land and immediately dash again! You may also find it useful in combat since it allows for very nimble use of your jump attack. Experiment with different weapons, and keep in mind that the advanced weaponry skill jump attacks will give you a much greater boost!

Find a groove that works for you! I tend to jump, dash, jump-attack cancel, land, dash, repeat! This tech also works durin the bandits' long dash jump thingy and can get you some considerable distance and speed when used together with it!

Fun unrelated fact: when you use a bandit's double-tap-E long dash thingy (without needin to jump! just from ground works) while movin up an incline, your character will go through the whole animation and appear to float up the incline! It's cute, here's some deranged screenshots of this quirk

Also here's me on top of Crescent Keep cause I love to get into places you're not supposed to be able to

I got up here legitimately usin another movement tech! I might make a guide for that one soon, too!

Mmkay have fun :d

Dash after shooting an arrow to shoot a second one faster, it feels like double attack speed. it probably works with block as well, i have not tested that.

I'm curious about the tech you used to get out of bounds in Crescent Keep. I'm also a fiend for getting out of bounds in games. Already managed to find ways to where you shouldn't be in Outer Sanctum, Effold Terrace, and Gate of the Moon. It actually took me awhile to find a way up to where you were in Crescent Keep, but I'm not sure if you used a different method.
