A short guide for the new Reaper's Outpost.

Reaper's Outpost Building

The Reaper's Outpost is a new building released December 10th 2024. It costs 100 biofuel and 2000 spare parts.

Basics

The outpost when clicked gives you 4 choices of chips to purchase. Chips are randomized and each one will tweak traits on a specific crop. Each crop can only have one chip active, purchasing a new chip for a crop that already has one will overwrite it.

Green are common chips. They come with a positive (green highlight) and negative trait (red highlight). I skip these, but if you were to buy one, it can be replaced later with a blue or orange one.

Blue are rare chips. They come with a positive trait only.

Orange are legendary chips. They come with 2 positive traits.


White chips are a super rare type. Apparently they cost a lot. Mine only show 2 lines of traits.
I don't remember buying a white chip but I found one today already in my inventory so they do exist.


I just got one at the shop while updating this guide. They have an animated sparkle.


Once a chip has been purchased you will see the chip icon now for that crop.


You can also see which crops have chips in the crops window as they will show the colored squares for each chip.


Once you are done buying the ones you want, press reroll. Then after 12 minutes and 30 seconds a new set will be ready to look at.

Why would you ever want to lock a chip?

Do the chips stack if you buy multiple for the same crop or does the most recent one bought replace the previous one? I've done it but failed to take note.

If you've got "Focus Mode" turned on in settings, Reaper takes 25min to refresh

White chips seem to offer larger single benefits compared to the legendary yellow/orange ones. 1.2x to 2x that of a legendary roughly as far as I can tell

There is only an achievement for common, rare, legendary. There is also only 2 socket spaces for a chip which legendary fills. In most games white is the worst form of loot so if white existed I would of expected it to be more common. If I see one though I will add it.

Apparently white chips have a 1% chance to appear and is better than legendary

I have never seen them and I just finished getting the heavily modified crops achievement. I only purchased the game a couple of days ago. When the reaper was first released, he had only 3 slots in his outpost but now has 4. Maybe the white was taken away then?
