How to disable cutscene dialog texts

If you are looking to try to speedrun the game or speed up your gameplay to get achievements, in this guide I will explain how to disable the game's dialogues through the configuration files.

There's a tutorial available on the developers' Discord, in the #speedrunning chat, but I decided to create this guide to make it easier to find, for those who are looking for it, just like I did.

Disabling dialogs

First of all, make sure you have opened the game at least once and that the game is not open while you perform this procedure.

Go to the "%localappdata%/AriettaofSpirits" directory. The easiest way to do this is by entering the command Windows + R and typing in the previously mentioned directory.

Open the "settings.ini" file using Notepad or your preferred text editor. Add or modify the following lines in the file:

[Debug]
skipdialog="1.000000"

If the "[Debug]" section does not exist, add it, but it must be at the very beginning of the file.

Start the game and now all dialogue will be skipped, greatly speeding up the pace of the game. Change the value back to 0 if you want to return to normal dialog behavior.
