How to make dark sector run in fullscreen borderless

WOW! 2009 GAME! WOW! WOW! WOW! I HATE

Me driving to the store: Yeah i'm a total storepilled foodcel. I'm basically going store mode and i'm giving producecore vibes

This guide assumes you have a 1080p monitor. If you have something larger I do not respect you as a person, nor will it work. This game was made in *2009*, it will break if it has to go wider than 2000 pixels

The way I got it to work was through two steps:

1. Edit some text files

2. Download malware a cool program off of github

This part will cover the text file part

Launch the game first (you probably already had, thats why you're here), then close it, go to the install folder/configs

You will see several .cfg files. Open them in notepad

Replace editor.cfg with the following:

Then go to DS.cfg and rewrite it with the following

Finally, right click each file individually, and mark them as read only. This is important, if you dont do this, your settings will revert. You dont want that

Install it, open it. Launch dark sector but keep it in the background while you fiddle with the program

Select dark sector, move it to the right side in the program, right click, and have the following enabled:

Fullscreen
Delay borderless window

Close dark sector, then reopen it. Now just let it sit for a while in its tiny little baby size window.

If you did it correctly, itll grow to fill your screen, just like a normal videogame made by non canadians

Oh nevermind, I solved. it seems the correct file for the keybinds is in truth DS.cfg. It is advisable to make any prefeable changes to the controls >before< making DS.cfg 'read only'.

It worked and fixed resolutions and stuff, but I can't really make changes in control configs as it resets everytime I restart the game. Tried modifying defbind.cfg and also putting it in ''read only'' but also no luck in that.
is a pain to throw glaive with C instead of E as have Warframe always in my mind.
