Full Guide For Elluna, Learn about her unique strengths and play-style tips

Strenghts and Weaknesses

Strenghts

• Mobility

Weaknesses

• Positioning (Often baited by ailed wisps)
  
• Overextending (New Player Weakness)
  
• Bad CC/Root

LMB (Crescent Bolt)

• Ellunas auto attacks are often mistaken for being simple and not given alot of though however even her LMB has some hidden mechanics

After not firing for a short duration (Very short), your next shot is Empowered, with increased range

• Often in fights i see Ellune players just hold down LMB when they would be better off waiting to gain extra range and gaining mana to pump out more heals.

Important to note she gains extra damage for hitting targets multiple times so she might not be as weak as you think :)

RMB (Darkside Binding)

This one is pretty straight forward.

• Root is 1.1s Base with it gaining 0.3 at lvl 2
  
• Applies (2) Moon Burn to rooted targets

Can be somewhat hard to hit at times so dashing to catch the enemy on a weird angle can help.
This ability is your fight starter and if hit allows your team to commit to a single target, Often shot at important back line targets

Lunar Dash

Ellunas Dash is pretty simple yet one of her strongest abilities, Often used to gain or close distance.

• Dashing trough allies refunds half of the cool-down and 1s of Darkside Binding
  
• Air and ground Dash have separate cool-downs

Dashing while in the air allows you to use your ground dash right after for extra distance.
Try to keep this for when you need it as picking up allies and dashing away is super important

Moonlight Blessing (Q)

• Recast the heal to throw (Will attach to the first allied target hit)
  timing and positioning can be more important than frequency.
  Just try to remember the heal is AOE and not tunnel vision on a single ally

Divine Intervention (R)

• Other abilities can be used while using Divine Intervention

Ellunas R can be cast on allies and wisps and often depends on the situation.
I recommend using it to deny wisp kills if a dive happens to fails as getting that resurrection can be crucial. However sometimes you will find yourself just holding this ability for too long so use your judgment.

Soul-pack (Backpack Passive)

Allows you to pickup an allied wisp and carry them to safety while resurrecting them.

• After picking up an ailed wisp dash away, Better safe then sorry

Play Guide

• Mindset Elluna is a support and should be played in the back-line however she should also be your flank / Rear guard, as her range is not the greatest keeping an eye out for flanks or 3rd parties is super important
  
  
• Heals They should be used when a team member is unable to safely heal and has taken enough damage to warrant it. If they have hard cover and can afford to use food you might want to save it.
  
  Dashing to the ally to heal them is not as bad as it sounds because along as you dash trough an ally half of your CD will be recovered instantly
  
  Elluna gets alot of value from long drawn out fights so stay in the back and get as many backpack resurrections as you can.
  
  Team Comps Beauty of Elluna is that she is strong in almost all team comps and is often the most flexible character due to her Dmg / Heals / CC, However Currently Oath and Elluna might be one of the strongest pair ups for squads

• Lvl-1 Dash (To escape early fights)
  
• Lvl-2 Heal
  
• Lvl-3 Root
  
• Lvl-4 Heal (We are the support after all :)
  
• Lvl-5 R
  
• Lvl-6 Dash
  
• Lvl-7 Dash/Heal (I prefer dash first heal after)
  
• Lvl-8 Heal/Dash (If you took heal lvl-7 you can also consider root lvl-2)
  
• lvl-9 R

elluna is peak game design for healers you can play her offensive and defensive depending on how much the enemy respects you... just dont panic root when they rush you since you wont be able to attack while rightlick casts lmao
