Episode 1

Episode 1 - Welcome to the world of Alone in the Dark! Episode 1 kicks off with a thrilling and chaotic sequence, setting the tone for the challenges ahead. Follow this guide for a clear path through the action:

Start by following the tutorial prompts, blinking with "X" as instructed.

After your abductor meets an unfortunate end, follow the available path to a cutscene where you see yourself in the mirror.

Keep moving forward to encounter an elevator cutscene. After the dramatic fall, climb the ladder, pull the lever to drop a rope, and descend.

Avoid obstacles using "Space," and push the electric cable with "A" and "D" until it gets stuck. Jump through the recently exploded door by pressing "Space."

Inside, turn around and help a woman. Move forward until you can move the obstructing table, grab a fire extinguisher, and enter first-person mode with "Tab" to put out the fire. Exit through the extinguished door, switch to third-person mode, and use the extinguisher as a battering ram to rescue the people.

Clear the fire on your right and jump over the hole in the ground. Pick up a gun from the nearby body, equip it using "I" or "2," and shoot the doorknob to proceed. After an entity tries to grab you, explore the dark rooms for healing supplies and use them with "H." Chaos ensues, and you find yourself falling out of the building.

Follow the man offering help by jumping onto a cable. Use "Prnt Scrn" to jump in the desired direction, but don’t climb too close to him. As cars destroy parts of the structure, move to the right, pull yourself up at the edge, and jump to catch the upper ledge. Keep going left until you find a cable, to unstuck use "Space" and jump to the left.

Inside the next room, toss the fire extinguisher to the upper level by placing it on a wooden platform, climbing up, and pulling the rope. Extinguish the fire above and climb higher. Exit through the window and ascend the cable.

On the balcony, help a lady with a locked door by breaking it. After falling through the floor, use a table to climb back to the previous level. Continue left, jump to grab the wall's edge, and turn off the electricity to proceed safely.

Finally, meet the watchman. Create a torch using a chair and the fire, then jump over to him for assistance.

This marks the end of Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 2

Episode 2 kicks off with an intense encounter: you’ll need to fight a woman. Don’t worry—she can’t be killed. After knocking her out, make your escape by climbing the fallen cable near the wall, illuminated by a blue light.

Once up, jump over the hole in the ground and move straight ahead. Grab the fire extinguisher to smash open the gray door and descend via the elevator shaft.

After climbing down, assist the lady stuck in the elevator and follow her lead. Remember, climbing can only be done in third-person mode.

When you encounter a door marked "P↓," break through it quickly. Be prepared for a brawl with two more immortal foes. Once the door is open, rush down the stairs, grab a fire extinguisher, and put out the fire blocking your path. Open the next door to reach the parking lot.

If you have 1–2 bullets left, shoot out the car window to get inside. If not, search for an object to smash the window. Once you’re in, steal the car and follow the path ahead.

After crashing through fire and the car breaking down, locate a lighter. Use it to ignite the spilled fuel, clearing a fiery pathway.

Follow the arrows until you reach a wooden blockade. Burn the planks to clear your path and take the car on the other side.

Drive forward, smashing through the gate directly in front of you. Turn right, break through another gate with a light bulb above it, and keep going until you reach the end.

Good luck surviving Episode 2’s fiery chaos!

Episode 3

Episode 3 begins after your car crash.

Help your companion climb up to signal the ambulance. Next, pick up the phone and call 911. Explosions from nearby cars will create a path to the public restroom—head there.

Inside the restroom, heal yourself and stock up on ammo. Pro tip: lockers replenish loot when you close and reopen them, so take advantage of that.

To progress, shoot the box at the top of the cable to cut it down, stopping the electricity. You’ll notice a damaged wall to your left—throw an explosive cocktail at it and shoot it to blast your way through.

Drop down, letting Edward fall to the platform below. Break the glass to descend further, then jump to a platform with a checkered floor. From there, climb up onto the bus and drag the body to the back to stabilize it. Exit the bus and deal with enemies using a pipe—try knocking them off the platform.

Navigate past the fallen car and climb up through the hole in the wall. Keep ascending and head right, passing in front of the bus. On the far side, shoot the door to make a rope drop, then climb up.

Continue climbing ledges and pass through the car perched above. Ascend further using a cable. When you encounter a meaty sack, use flaming bullets to destroy it (create these by pouring explosive fluid on your gun).

Proceed forward, and if you’re hunting for the fish, check the pond below.

Eventually, Crowley will call you. Move ahead to find an electrical box. Create a short circuit by gently moving the wires until they spark. Walk through the water and deal with more crawlers before short-circuiting another electrical box.

At this point, you’ll encounter an electrical cable hanging in the water. Shoot it and time your jump through the water to avoid electrocution.

Once across, use a chair to climb on a pipe spewing flames. Drag an electrical cable out of the water and locate valves to extinguish the fire. Afterward, grab a burning chair to safely pass the black goo on the floor. Climb the ladder at the other side.

You’ll meet a man looking for his team and find a swarm of bats on a fence. Use the electrical cable to fry them and climb the ladder.

Once in the park, pick a vehicle and head toward the red marker on your map. If ambushed, use a lighter and spray combo to create a makeshift flamethrower.

To clear cars blocking your path, shoot their fuel tanks with flaming bullets. Finally, steal a car and jump the cliff at just the right speed to land safely on the other side.

Episode 4

Episode 4

After leaving the ambulance, follow the red dot on the minimap and head into the building to your right. Inside, you'll find a better weapon—pick it up, then continue towards the car. Hijack it and speed off, evading the bats as you head to your destination.

At the Red Dot location, you'll face a boss fight. To defeat it, throw explosive cocktails at the soft spot beneath the Bat Tornado. Shoot the explosives once they're close enough to the soft area, and repeat this process multiple times. More explosives can be found on either side of where you start.

Stock up on explosives and move forward, passing through where the boss was. Steal another car and head to the next red dot.

You'll need to jump over a cliff to reach the building on the other side. Steal a truck and drive it close to the cliff, using its ramp to jump over. Remember to shoot the lock holding the ramp before you go, and raise the truck's ramp to clear the jump.

Once you've jumped over, smash the lock to open the gate.

When the fissure attacks, use a flamethrower (created by combining spray with a lighter) to deal with it.

Jump over the pipe ahead, and then force open the electrical box (hit it with an item). Use the lift to go up.

Once at the top, head into the room on the right and prepare for another fight with the fissure. After you defeat it, go through the door it came from.

Inside, use a fire extinguisher to put out the flames blocking your way. Behind the counter, you'll find a flammable gas container—use this to burn through the flames (by holding down the mouse button while running through the flames towards the enemies and take down two strong enemies. Keep the mouse button held down to maintain the fire.

Finally, break down the exit door, and this marks the end of Episode 4.
Episode 5

Episode 5 - Walkthrough

Start Episode 5 by picking up the fire axe and rescuing the girl from the cocoon. Perform CPR by pressing both mouse buttons simultaneously as prompted.

After the conversation with the lady, exit through the door and head to the right through the red goo. Turn left and look up to find an electrical cable held up by various objects—shoot the objects to drop the cable and climb up.

Follow the path and burn the fleshy hanging bags to proceed. Move the corpse to open the door.

To destroy the crawler nest, craft a Molotov cocktail by combining bandages or cloth with an explosive bottle. Light the cloth with your lighter before throwing it over the wall to burn the nest. Next - observe a crawler moving between a nest and a blood pool. Stick a lit Molotov to it using double-sided tape—it will carry the explosive to the nest and detonate.

Continue along the path, where you'll face a group of enemies. Pour explosive liquid on your gun to craft flaming bullets, then defeat all the enemies to gain access through the gate by the guard.

Once the guard allows passage, prepare to navigate through the dangerous black goo. Equip your flashlight and move between light sources while illuminating the ground below you—the goo will retreat from the light.

After passing the goo, another guard will instruct you to go around, but the lift will get stuck. You'll need to backtrack and face a boss.

To defeat the boss, target the three glowing weak spots with flaming bullets and Molotovs. Once the weak spots are destroyed, continue the assault with Molotovs until the boss is defeated.

Afterward, locate a sword on the wall, shoot it down, and use it to sever the guard's hand. Use the hand to unlock the way forward.

Follow the path until you encounter a trapdoor with a rope above it. Shoot the object holding the rope, then open the trapdoor so the rope falls completely. Climb down the rope.

In first-person mode, equip your gun by pressing "2" and shoot the lock on the door.

Ahead, you'll find a strong door to your right. You can end the episode quickly by throwing an explosive to destroy the door and running through. Otherwise, prepare for a fight with several strong enemies before continuing.

This concludes Episode 5.
Episode 6

Episode 6 - Walkthrough

Episode 6 begins in Room 943. Wait for a shadow to move across the room. After this, inspect specific items of interest. Use the "close your eyes" feature (press X) to get hints on what to inspect. Move close to the items and aim at them with your flashlight to investigate.

Close your eyes to locate Theo. He will reveal a hidden passage by opening the wall.

Pick up the lens and exit the room. Look for a symbol on the wall. Equip the lens with your flashlight, then shine the beam through the lens to align it perfectly with the symbol. When the shape aligns, the wall will crumble, revealing a corridor.

Proceed through the corridor - use the forklift to lift a stone, creating a bridge to cross.

Continue until you encounter a fallen piece of wall. Use the forklift to lift the debris and find a lever. Pull the lever to secure the wall piece in place, allowing you to drive the forklift over it. Beware of an enemy nearby—fight or ignore it, but if you choose the latter, the enemy will pursue you.

After driving through the boxes, you'll see a crawler nest on a platform. Destroy it with flaming bullets. Use the forklift to jump onto the platform where the nest was located.

Pull the lever and proceed to the other side using the forklift. On the other side, pull another lever and use the forklift to lift a stuck door.

Follow the corridor and take the elevator at the end.

After the elevator, cross the planks. The planks will break, but Crowley will save you from the black goo during a brief dialogue involving whether his dog could learn from you.

This concludes Episode 6.
Episode 7

Episode 7 - Walkthrough

The episode begins after your crash.

Climb towards the Helicopter:
Dodge falling debris as you make your way up. Once you've reached the top, jump to the left onto a bus. The bus will also fall, and you must grab a rope and climb it while fighting off a few crawlers. Equip your gun (press 2) in first-person view while climbing if you need to fight.

Reaching the Top:
Once you’re up, a woman will ask for help. This section is intense, so it's best to run across to the other side and into a wagon, where the enemies can’t follow. Use the flamethrower or flaming bullets to deal with the enemies.

After you’ve dealt with the enemies, join the woman. Once the bus is moved, you'll have to climb two ropes. I recommend shooting the crawlers first, then jump to the second rope and climb all the way up.

Go through the beast that lifted your carriage and continue into Central Park.

The Longest Part of the Game: Press T to bring up your phone and open the map. Look for “Static” dots; these indicate locations with tentacles that you must destroy. The vehicles in the game will have specific items in their glove compartments:

Purple Cars: Explosives
Police Cars: Ammo and Batteries
Taxies: Sprays
Yellow Cars: Tape
After destroying all the tentacles, head to the red dot destination on your map.


Activating Symbols:
Look for symbols and use your flashlight on them after closing your eyes to reveal their shape.

After activating all the symbols, climb a rope to the roof and go up to the tower.

Look through the telescope to finish Episode 7.
Episode 8

Episode 8 - Walkthrough

Just like in Episode 7, you will continue destroying the tentacles throughout this part of the game. Once you've cleared the area, head to the red dot on your map.

At the red dot, you'll encounter a creature behind a force field. Throw a Molotov cocktail over the force field to burn the creature and lower the field.

Once the creature is dealt with, enter the building and use your flashlight with the lens to inspect the symbol. Shine the light through the lens to open a secret passage.

Shoot the ring at the top of the pole holding the rope to allow you to climb down into the newly opened passage. Once you're at the bottom, you'll receive a phone call from Sarah.

From here, you can only follow a single path with several challenges ahead.

Challenge 1: You'll encounter an elevator that can be activated by shining your light through the lens onto the symbol.

Challenge 2: Move the box to block the light in order to lower the wall. Once the wall is lowered, run to it to be lifted by the elevator platform.

Challenge 3: This challenge is a bit trickier. Use the object with the symbol on it to block the light on the sides and turn the ground to avoid spikes. Block the right light, then the left, and finally the right again to pass.

Challenge 4: For this challenge, pick up the object with the symbol and use it to block the light, stopping the platform's movement. Avoid the huge hammers and make your way to the other side.

Challenge 5: There will be a wooden pylon blocking your way. Set it on fire, and then set fire to the next pylon in the next room. Run to the edge so you can be lifted when the walls go up.

Challenge 6: This challenge requires lighting the object with the symbol on fire and navigating through a dark maze before the roof closes in on you. Make it through quickly!

In the following room, set the pylon on fire again. Take the item on top of it and head through the opening. Hit the wall on the right until you find where to break it and free the old carrier.

Take a car and head quickly to the red dot marker.

Once you reach the marker, share your opinion with Crowley and follow the old carrier to the chamber, completing Episode 8.








Part 9 - Endings

Ending 1: - Remember the prophecy: "Lucifer’s greatest defeat will come at the height of his victory." That’s exactly what happened. Lucifer was released, but not as a powerful, omnipotent being. Instead, he was reborn as a mortal, stripped of his powers, bound to a fragile human existence. His greatest triumph became his ultimate undoing. Yes, he walks among the living once again, but what can he achieve now? Nothing. He’s just a mortal.

This marks the “good ending” for the world, but it’s a tragic conclusion for Carnby. He stands utterly alone. All of his friends from decades past are long gone, and the one person he connected with—the one who truly cared about him—sacrificed herself to save him. Though he succeeded in saving humanity, Carnby now finds himself isolated in a world that no longer feels like his own, a sentiment driven home by Lucifer’s parting words: a cold reminder of his solitude.

Ending 2: - If Edward chooses to kill Sarah, she will fall to her death in the chasm. Despondent with remorse, Edward is possessed by Lucifer and falls to his knees. Hermes condemns Edward's choice saying, "The last free act of man was murder." Lucifer rises to his feet and responds, "So was his first 'free act.'" Hermes condemns Edward's inhumanity, to which Lucifer merely levitates him into the gateway to the spirit world proclaiming proudly, "I'm the Light Bringer! I'm the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ universe!" Hermes warns him that humanity will stand against him, to which Lucifer responds, "Did you think I'd come alone?"


Alternative Ending could be if Crowley kills Edward.
