So, with the release of the 20 years anniversary edition, I decided to make a guide with all the mods that I use. I am not the author of any of these mods, you still have to download the mods from the original pages posted by the creators, I only showcase the links for the mods here.

How To Install Mods

If you want to install the normal Half-Life 2 without MMOD, then in
steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2 create a folder called "Custom" and then drop the HD remaster mod there. The other textures you'll drop inside the HD remaster mod, because we want to replace the Remaster's textures, with our separate textures.

If you use MMOD, install all MMOD files in Steam\steamapps\sourcemods, then inside HL2MMod_HL2 do what I said above, make a Custom folder, etc.

Most mods use VPK files, that's why you need to install GFCscape. It's easy to use. You click on the GFC file, and then extract their files inside the Custom folder, where the remastered mod folder is.

Nvidia Profile Injector gives the game ambient occlusion.
Open Nvidia Profile Injector, then search for the Half-Life 2 profile. Click on it, and then in Ambient Occlusion compatibility write this 0x0000002C, and hit apply. Then scroll down until you find Ambient Occlusion settings and usage. Set it to High Quality and Enabled.
