Embark on an epic, story-driven journey as Aegyptos or Heliopolis, following the path of discovery and enlightenment of Theodoro Gidos.

After some work, my submod, initially created for my personal use, Messiah of the Dunes, is finally available for public release. This submod aims to add an event chain for Aegyptos and Heliopolis in early game, following the initiatic journey of Theodoro Gidos through expanding Aegyptos' starting "disaster", and culminating with either one subjugating or annexing the other, with a powerful Theodoro at its helm. There's obviously some inspiration from Frank Herbert's Dune. To get this event chain, you have to either play as Heliopolis and set the story in motion, or play as Aegyptos and choose the regent path.

Of course there are many choices down the event chain to allow you to avoid it all altogether.

Updated : Now with a full blown disaster, tailored for Theodoro and his descendants.

@Mindfr3k24 You can use Aegyptos' MT same way as in vanilla to reduce the Kemetic Resistance modifier, it entirely disappears when you either convert the province to Evangelos or finish the mission "New Gods"

Are you able to assimilate the Kemetic population as Evangelos Aegyptos?

True, but losing the Alexandrian tax base makes things very difficult. To the point culture-shifting back to Alexandrian is probably a better option than staying Zeraphite.

Thank you ! Yes in base PF, forming Theodokos removes almost all flavor if you formed it as anything else than Heliopolis ; you should still get the flavor events though, as they are not tag-based, I'm working on adding some more

Very fun initial play through, the only thing I did not like was that after forming theodokos i lost all Aegyptos flavor. I hope you continue to work on this mod great job!

@Manaolime It's normal in early game and by no means due to MotD, Kemetic Resistance modifer inflicts a flat -33% tax in kemetic provinces. You have to use Aegyptos' MT to reduce that to get the monies

I just started a game as Aegyptos, and...
The situation is miserable.
In terms of money, I have no money. Like none.
I can't even afford to keep my starting armies standing at half wage.
I can't even afford to convert to get money. How do I fix the economy ?
