Lost Connection to Host / Stuck at Synconizing Game Settings during map change.

Lost connection to host / server. Connection timed out. OR Stuck at Synconizing Game Settings during map change.

It seems as if there is an error whilst trying to cache the graphics options to improve laoding speed and recalling them.




Go to Options → Video Options → Advanced Video → Scroll down.

• Turn off Cache Sun Shadow Maps
  
• Turn off Cache Spot Shadow maps
  
• Turn off Shader Preload

Single Player Stuttering / Frame "Lag" issues

SinglePlayer Stutter issues

( I highly suggest using Notepad++: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/ to do this )


Go to
G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty Advanced Warfare\players2
(or your local steam install folder)


Find the config.cfg and open it with your text editor

Find the following and set them as you find below:

seta r_elevatedPriority "1"

seta r_preloadShadersAfterCinematic "0" to load the shaders while cinematic is running.

Mouse Stuttering / Acceleration Issue

Mouse Sensitivity/Acceleration Issue

Try reducing the poll rate to get rid of the stuttering.

Set the polling rate to 500 for a Razer mouse if that doesn't work try lowering it to 125.





Disable any Mouse Acceleration follow these instructions:

• Click on start.
  
• Type control Panel in the start search bar and then press Enter.
  
• Select Hardware and Sound option in the Control Panel.
  
• In the Devices and Printer section select Mouse.
  
• In the Mouse Properties Window select Pointer Options
  
• Un-check the "Enhance Pointer Precision"

Skip the Un-Skippable SinglePlayer Cutscenes

Go to
G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
(or your local steam install folder)

Find:
seoul_load.bik and create a backup (rename it or copy it somewhere)

Select it Copy & Paste it into the same directory

Edit the original, Ctrl + A and delete it all and save it.

How to Enable SLI ?

Nvidia Users:

Go update your drivers via the Geforce Experience Application.

The new GeForce Game Ready 344.60 WHQL drivers added SLi support to the game.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – SLI and stereo profiles added

Update: There is a few people including me who started getting lag only after the new drivers please go back to the drivers link above and download:

This will fix it for you if you only experienced lag the issue if you updated.

You can enable this option by using NVidia Inspector as the game does not support SLI at the moment.

Nvidia Driver: 344.48

Set the following options for the Advanced Warfare profile using Nvidia Inspector :

SLI compatibility bits(DX1x) : 0x020000F5 (Wargame: AirlLand Battle, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Titanfall)

Nvidia predifined SLI mode on DirectX10 : SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_DX10_FORCE_AFR

Nvidia predefined number of GPU's to use on SLI rendering mode on DX10 : SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_DX10_FOUR


Nvidia Control Panel way:

• Create a new profile by selecting recently used applications
  
• set CUDA - GPUs to use both cards
  
• SLI Rendering Mode to: Force Alternative Frame Rendering 2

Game Won’t Download / Download Gets Stuck

When attempting to download the game, there is a possibility that the game will refuse to download. Firstly, ensure that you are not downloading the game to a portable hard drive, and that you have enough space on your hard drive to actually install the game. Also ensure that you have chosen the right region to download the game from. If everything is correct, exit Steam, reset your router, and wait for 15 minutes before restarting Steam and resuming the download.

If all else fails, change the download region to someplace else and restart Steam as the servers may be overloaded.

Low FPS / Muddy Textures

All you need to do to improve the low FPS is disable the Cache Spot Shadow Maps and Cache Sun Shadow Maps toggle these settings under “Advanced Video” to off.

It is recommend to run this game in Optimize Settings instead of Custom Graphic Settings.

"Your settings may result in lower texture resolution" Error

To get rid of this error disable the Cache Spot Shadow Maps and Cache Sun Shadow Maps option.

Pause issue

Sometimes when you pause this game, it gets stuck.

Just press ALT+TAB and end the process.

Shut down your system and restart.

Installation issue

If you get the "Create2DTexture ($cached_sun_shadow_bsp_only_64, 1536, 1536, 0, 40) failed:

8007000e" it means there is not enough memory on your system to install the game.

Create the necessary amount and then install the game.

Unrecoverable DirectX Error

If you experience this error, head on over to the game’s _installer folder and reinstall the DirectX redistributable.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare has Stopped Working Error Along with Dll File name Fix:

Call of Duty Advanced warfare has stopped working because dllfilename.dll is missing from your Computer.

Advanced Warfare crashes/freezes while playing:

The crash issues are quite common these days.If,after 5-10 minutes of play,the game is crashing,the recommended solution from me is updating your Drivers.If that did not work,try to re-install the game.

Reduce lag and increase FPS for Call of Duty Advanced warfare:

Increase the performance of your computer will help you reducing the lag while playing Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.However,the best solution for this error is upgrading your Graphics card.You can find the list of best graphics cards for COD advanced warfare here.After months of research,i have found some methods to increase the Performance of my PC.Even you can try them.Hope they work for you as well.

Try to play the game in Lower resolution.You can change the settings from in-game settings.
Use Razer game booster.This will stop the unwanted tasks that are running while playing the game and gives the highest priority for the game.To use it,just click on the Exe file of Cod advanced warfare and select “open with razer game booster option”
While playing,make sure that your desktop wallpaper has no Aero-effects.
Use Swift shader.You can download it from the internet.After downloading,copy the Dll file present in the downloaded folder and paste it into game root directory.This will remove the high process consuming textures to run the game without lag.However,you will loose all the important in-game textures which makes the Game look like crap.So,swift shader is not recommended.However,if you want to get rid of lag,you can happily use it.
Also,to lower Lag,you must turn of Cache spot show maps and Cache sun show maps in In-game settings.

Disk error in COD Advanced Warfare:

To solve it,

Remove the CD.
Disable Anti-virus.
And,re-insert the CD to re-install.
If this did not solve the issue,you can ask your queries in Steamcommunity.

Game just stopped launching today after months of pretty flawless performance.
