#1 - Install REFramework
REFramework will be the tool we'll be using to mod this game, you can find it in NexusMods, here's a link to it:

  • nexusmods・com/monsterhunterrise/mods/26

Just replace the middle dot with a regular dot. I do this because Steam does not like links.

Click on "MANUAL" to download it manually and you'll get a .rar file.

Now you'll need to locate Monster Hunter: Rise's main directory.

RISE will be installed in Steam > steamapps > common > MonsterHunterRise, but you can go there directly by right-clicking it on your Steam Library, click on "Manage" and then on "Browse Local Files".

Here you'll extract that .rar file, which should contain a .dll called "dinput8".

Now open the game up to the main screen, and exit it again. You'll realize that there's a new folder inside the game's main directory called "reframework". Inside you'll find two folders, "autorun" and "plugins".

Now at the start of the game you'll see this. This is REFramework's overlay, here you can use the built-in tools and edit future mods. If you closed it by accident, you can re-open it by pressing its default key which is "Insert", you can also rebind it in "Configuration".
#2 - Install mods through REFramework
You must know that the folder called "autorun" is for all .lua files.

When you download a mod from NexusMods, you must check if the .rar you got contains a lua file, a folder called "reframework" or two folders called "autorun", "plugins" or both.

  • If it's a .lua file, just place it inside of "autorun".
  • If it's a folder named "reframework", just place it on your game's directory so its content will be placed inside your already installed "reframework" folder.
  • If it's a folder called "autorun", "plugins" or both, just place it inside of "reframework" in your game's main directory.

It's easier than it looks.
#3 - Install Fluffy Mod Manager
Now if you want to replace models or skins, you'll need FLUFFY MOD MANAGER 5000. You can find it here:

  • nexusmods・com/monsterhunterrise/mods/7

Extract its content anywhere in your computer.
#4 - Install a mod with Fluffy Mod Manager
Now let's try installing a mod.

We'll use this one as example (do no jugde me). If you try to install it, you'll face a pop-up that says that you need some other mods.

Download them all.

Now go to your Fluffy Mod Manager folder and place the contents of those mods in this location:

Fluffy Manager > Games > MHRISE > Mods

Now open "Modmanager.exe" and enable said mods.

Now you can mod the sh*t out of this game with a lot of big tiddys virginity-inducing mods.
#5 - Extra data.
There's also another way of modding this game via PAK files but I have never used them for this game, so this is all for now.

Enjoy!
