Iesabel is a hack-and-slash game where you can play one of two characters to play through three Acts of monster slaying, looting, and levelling up.
For the purposes of difficulty, you must pick one of the characters for three playthroughs as the next difficulty only unlocks for the character you complete the game as. As long as you're updating your gear and making use of your skills, you shouldn't have too many troubles completing Iesabel.

General Tips:
  • Ensure you're getting a good amount of XP per kill in the location you're in. If you're not getting anything per kill, you need to move on to the next area.
  • It's much safer to take your time and only fight a few enemies at a time instead of an entire horde.
  • For skills, put points into any movement skill (like Witch's Teleport) in case you get surrounded. Avoid putting skills into any potion or scroll crafting as these items are abundant in loot and can be purchased too.
  • Keep stock of Identity Scrolls and Town Portals, that way you can identify anything as soon as you get it so you can equip it to become more powerful. Town Portals are great so you can buy and sell items at any time and are also useful if you're in trouble and need to leave quickly to recover.
  • Check the Stat bonuses on Special items. Sometimes it may be better to hold onto a weaker item if it gives a good boost to a stat you use.

Known Game Issues :
  • DO NOT use the Player Stash. It won't place it into the stash and your item will be destroyed.
  • DO NOT reach the max level. Levelling up beyond level 99 will crash the game, making it impossible to progress. Enemies won't give XP at level 99, but quests still will. Try not to level beyond 90, and even then level 70 is enough for Hard difficulty.
  • Sometimes cutscenes and quests may bug out, but returning to main menu and reloading fixes these with quest progress saved.

Reach for the stars
Wow. Many hard. Such level
Reach the 11th / 22nd / 33rd / 44th / 55th / 66th level

You will likely reach level 66 early into your Medium playthrough. During the Easy playthrough, the amount of XP gained may drop if your level is too high in an area. If you notice you're gaining less XP than usual, progress the storyline to find new areas to grind. This XP restriction doesn't seem to apply on higher difficulties.
I like shiny things!
I like shiny things!
Have an epic, unique, or legendary item equipped in every slot.

Special items provide additional boosts to a character stat when equipped. The number of stats boosted and the possible boost amount depends on its rarity level (unique = 1x 10%, epic = 2x 15%, legendary = 3x 20% stat boosts). Special Items can be purchased from shops, or will drop as loot (higher luck means more special items dropping). The item may dropped Unidentified, requiring an Identity Scroll to reveal it.

It may be a good idea to hold onto your older special items until you get this achievement so you can slowly build a set of Special Gear. You must also achieve this using a One-Handed Weapon and Shield equipped; a Two-Handed Weapon can't equip shields and therefore won't work.

Complete Iesabel on easy / medium / hard difficulty mode

New characters start the game on Easy difficulty. Completing the game increases the difficulty to the next level, meaning you must complete the game three times to get all three difficulty achievements.

The difficulties drastically increase the amount of health enemies have, as well as change the penalties for dying:
  • Easy: Drop XP and Gold.
  • Medium: Drop some of your equipped gear.
  • Hard: Drop ALL of your equipped gear.
Because of the penalties on harder difficulties, make sure you hold onto your Amulets of Lifesaving from Easy difficulty! While you can still recover your gear from a Tombstone, using amulets on Medium or Hard help prevent an awkward trip to recollect your gear. Despite the health increase, enemy damage doesn't have such drastic increases. Your main threats on higher difficulties will be the Elites, noted by their yellow (cursed) or red (demonic) glow, who seem to do much more damage compared to regular enemies.

As always, stay well-stocked on potions, fight smaller groups of enemies, take your time, and don't be afraid of using a Town Scroll to make a hasty retreat.

Craft and enchant any rune

Runes offer temporary benefits for a piece of equipment, which vary based on the type and size of rune applied. To craft runes, you need the rune crafting skill found in the Alchemy Tab of the Skills menu. It costs 1 Skill point for the first level, with higher levels offering more types of runes available to craft.
With a rune type unlocked, use the Crafting Menu to craft it. This requires ingredients that can be found either in the world or by purchasing them from a shop. With the Rune crafted, simply drag it into a piece of equipment to "Enchant" it, unlocking the achievement.

Master of resistance
Max a passive skill

Upon levelling up, you gain a Skill Point to apply in the Skills menu. All skills max out at level 10, but each level may have an additional requirement, such as character level or another skill levelled up, before you can further increase a skill's level.
For this achievement, it's looking for Skills whose type is clearly labeled as Passive or Active when selected. Most of your Class skills don't count because of this, but many Skills in the Ethnic category do count.
Perfectionist
Perfectionist
Max a least one characteristic

Every time you level up, you will earn ~2 points to apply to any character stat. For this achievement, use these points to increase any Stat to the maximum of 100 points.
Special equipment can increase this stat to and beyond 100, but won't count towards this achievement. It must be the points from levelling up to reach 100 that counts. If possible, you can unequip all the gear that's applying a stat buff to see how close you really are to reaching the max.

Complete Act 2 with running toggled off

Note: This achievement may unlock despite having running enabled. It may have to do with restarting the game as it seems to respawn you with running toggled on, but it's still not clear why this happens.

You likely want to do this when you're much stronger, such as on Medium difficulty, as you won't be able to run away from fights if you're in trouble. If you're playing as the Witch, make use of your Teleport skill to travel around. Some of the dungeons in Act II can easily be skipped with some well-placed teleports.
Burn it with fire

Kill the Black Widow without receiving damage

The Black Widow is a boss on the last floor of the Nest Dungeon in Act I. The boss uses ranged poison attacks, and can call monsters for help.
Possibly the easiest method to achieve this is playing a Witch with 5+ levels in the Soulmate ability. Before the boss floor, summon all your minions and then enter to let the cutscene play. Right as it ends, move back towards the stairs and it should be far enough that the Black Widow's spit attack won't reach you. If it calls for backup, your summons should either be strong enough to kill them or keep them busy long enough for you to kill the boss. From this position, simply use your ranged attack towards the bottom-left and it should die without trouble. The boss is big enough to hit without too much trouble, hopefully you get a crit so the screen can shake to let you know you're hitting the boss. This strategy should still work even on Medium or Hard difficulty.

Warning: If you're too close to the stairs when the boss dies, it might ask you to move back upstairs while the cutscene plays. This seems to cause a bug that requires you to restart your game. Thankfully, the achievement will still unlock and the boss should still be dead when you return.
Untouchable
Untouchable
Complete a location killing all the enemies and not losing any health

Note: This achievement unlocked for me while fighting the Bear in the Slaven Village from Act I. It unlocked when my only summon died to the Bear, so this may be an early-game strategy if this achievement gives you trouble. Needs more confirmation.

Keep in mind that enemies will begin to respawn if you take too long clearing an area, so try to level up all the way until the end of an Act, then try clearing a location. You should try to pick a Dungeon instead of an overworld location too, as they are generally smaller. Some quests involve clearing a location of enemies, which may also work since enemies don't appear to respawn until the quest progresses. If you're playing the Witch, you can have your summons take most of the enemy's attention away from you to deal damage without trouble.
Fast traveler

Find all stone portals

Note: This achievement unlocked early for me halfway through Act II, so it might not be required to find all of them.

Generally all the Portals will either be in the path of your journey, or will be clearly shown on your map. Simply walk close to it to activate it, letting you travel to and from locations from your current Act.

These ones are somewhat hidden:
  • Act I: Meadow II - after defeating the demon boss, exit to the top-right to end up in a separate location of the starting area. At the end is a Stream of Blood with a Stone Portal on the other side.
  • Act III: Desert - this is easily missable as you never have to enter this area. The Desert is located at the exit found in the bottom-right of Oasis.
Blah, blah, blah...

Talk through every dialogue in the game. No skipping

Note: This information may be vague, as it's not entirely clear what the requirements are.

The dialogue regarded for this achievement is the ones where you have a choice of dialogue options when selecting the Talk option near an NPC. Make sure you're keeping track of what dialogues are available as it's very easy to miss by progressing too far. If you've done it correctly, the achievement will unlock at the end of the game.

The dialogues are listed below (in order of appearance):
Act I
  • Shaman (Grove) - Encountered as part of the story, and returns to his tent after the cutscene. Has 3 dialogue options.
  • Villager (Slava Village) - Numerous wandering around the village. Has 3 dialogue options.
  • Villager (Drakh Village) - Has 2 dialogue options (identical to the ones in Slava Village) as well as 1 additional one as part of the Demon quest. Note this 1 dialogue disappears upon completing the quest.
  • Shaman (Slava Village) - Same dialogue options as the Grove. After investigating the Stream of Blood, you turn in the quest by selecting a new dialogue option.
  • Necromancer (The Necromancer) - Before leaving this area, talk to the Necromancer who has 3 dialogue choices.
Act II
  • Oracle (The Oracle) - Encountered as part of the story. They have three dialogue choices as well as one when turning in the Visions quest. Make sure you complete each dialogue BEFORE the one saying you're ready.
  • Niguma (The Sanctuary) - At the very end of the act, you can chat with 3 dialogue options.
Act III
  • Villager (Oasis) - Found in the top-right area near the Ingredient Trader and the person that resets your Skill Points. Has 3 dialogue options.

Some other notes/possibilities:
  • Do not use the Skip button, instead you can press the forward button or click the forward button rapidly.
  • Even if the same dialogue appears in different locations, they may count as separate dialogues for this achievement. Make sure to go through each dialogue choice in both areas.
  • Doesn't appear to be required to talk to every villager in the same area, as long as the dialogues have been done at least once in that area.

Watch the credits

Completing the game will play a short sequence for credits. It can also be viewed at any time from the main menu. Watch until the end for the achievement.

Kill any boss while having <10% HP

Bosses have a long, orange health bar on the top of the screen when targetting you (using static health bars), as well as having a special icon on the map. It's recommended to choose a boss that doesn't spawn additional enemies during the fight to make it easier to manage the HP requirement. If the bosses are killing you too quickly on Easy, it may be easier on Medium or Hard difficulty since you'll have better armour and better stat upgrades.

Necks are for sheep. Be a shark
Don't use Amulet of life-saving throughout the entire game

If you have an Amulet of Lifesaving, you can use it to respawn right on the spot where you died. For this achievement, DO NOT use the Amulet and instead select Continue to respawn from the nearest checkpoint. Do note that selecting Continue will drop your XP, gold, or even gear (on higher difficulties), but can be recovered by interacting with the Tombstone where you died.

Remember to take your time in some of the dungeons, especially one with a boss on that floor, because choosing Continue will also respawn all enemies. It's strongly recommended you hold onto your Amulets for subsequent playthroughs, due to the harsher penalties for dying.
Gather a total of X gold
Gold gatherer
Gold digger
Gather a total of 150,000 / 500,000 gold

Gold is gained by picking it up as loot, selling items at shops, or as a reward from quests. This tracks all gold collected, and you can still use gold to buy better equipment or items. Starting from the last dungeon in Act III, enemies will start dropping thousands in gold when killed. You will definitely gather enough gold before completing Act I on Medium difficulty.

If you want to get this as early as possible, the gold recovered from your Tombstone on Easy difficulty also counts. So you can repeatedly die with lots of gold near a Stone Portal or Checkpoint and recover it to make progress on this achievement.
Open X chests // Plunder X bodies
Hey, nice chest!
Yarr a pirate!
Open 30 / 100 chests
Bloody hands
Hey! That's not yours!
Plunder 30 / 100 bodies

Chests and Dead Bodies serve the same purpose: to drop loot when interacted with. Neither of them respawn so make sure you're exploring thoroughly. If you don't unlock these, they can be achieved in subsequent playthroughs.
Kill X foes
Killing Spree!
Rampage!
Dominating!
Unstoppabe!
Godlike!
Kill 2,500 / 7,500 / 20,000 / 50,000 / 100,000 foes

You'll likely end all three playthroughs with ~10,000 kills, so this will be a major grind. There's a few ways to complete this:

Active Method
Go to any floor with easy-to-kill enemies and kill all of them. Then, leave and re-enter to repeat this process. For example, the Dungeon in Act II is full of enemies and is small enough you can group them together quickly for AoE attacks.
You can also farm areas where enemies spawn infinitely, like bosses that spawn enemies or in the area before The Tower in Act III.

Note: If possible, it's recommended to do this on Easy difficulty with a new character as the enemies won't have as much health.

Slighly-Inactive Method
At the very end of Act I, while escorting the Shaman to the Witch, the woods will now spawn dozens of enemies forever. Position yourself near the entrance to Slaven Village with the Shaman positioned to the left to draw the attention of the enemies that will be spawning there (if you're too far from the village's entrance, enemies will start to spawn behind you). If you're playing the Witch, you can now use your Pillar of Doom ability on top of the Shaman to slowly kill enemies.

This is possible mainly because the Shaman is invincible, so he can stay there forever. Keep in mind this strategy is only partially inactive since the Shaman or the enemies may reposition out of your ability, you may run out of mana, or the game may crash due to how much loot drops. This is a slow process, making ~1,000 kills an hour, but you can do something else away from the game and check in on it every 30-40 minutes.

Note: The Witch's Pillar of Doom ability may need to be a lower level to keep mana costs low, as well as having a high Spirit stat to have a large mana pool.
Collect X orbs
Ball fondler
Ball enthusiast
Collect 100 / 500 orbs

When an enemy is killed, there's a chance it will drop an orb that recovers Health, Mana, or Stamina when picked up. These are automatically picked up when touched, and appear often enough that this achievement will be earned naturally.
Sell objects worth X gold
Seller
Merchant of Kaidan
Sell objects worth 25,000/100,000 gold

This achievement seems to track the gold when selling AND buying items. Items will start to have a lot of value in subsequent playthroughs, or you can buy tons of Identity Scrolls and Town Portals to speed this process up.
Bone crusher
Bone crusher
Kill 666 skeletons

You will begin to encounter Skeletons in the Cemetery in Act I. Skeletons will be plentiful from that point to the end of the game, so if you're clearing floors of enemies you will likely earn this naturally.
What is this thing?

Identify 15 items

There's a chance you will find loot that is "Unidentified", a piece of equipment that requires an Identity Scroll to be revealed. Identity Scrolls can be purchased from a shop, or crafted with an Alchemy skill and sufficient materials. To identify an item, select the Unidentified item from the Inventory menu, then select the Identify button to reveal it.
Heavy drinker
Heavy drinker
Use 150 potions

There are different kinds of potions dropped as loot or purchasable in shops. You will likely be drinking a lot potions as you get further into the story and when playing higher difficulties. If you have an excess of potions, you can still drink them if you're full health, mana, or stamina to speed up this achievement.

Get killed 100 times

Even completing all difficulties, you'll need to farm for the deaths. Find a Stone Portal or checkpoint, and die to anything close to it. Repeat this process until you unlock the achievement.
