Weapon Reload Durations
Von Moon
This is something that I have been wondering for quite a long time now.

There's no official stats in the game for reload durations like there are with most other things.

I have not seen any guides talking about this and I timed them myself.

I discovered that each one is a multiple of 1/30th of a second (0.033 seconds), which makes sense because the game is based in 30 ticks per second.

Even with the tickrate set to 100, this rule still applies as there were no differences how long each gun took to reload in both 30 and 100 tick.

I figured out how long each weapon reloads by first shooting a bullet out of it, and then using a string command to reload it and start the survival timer at the same time.

Then, using an auto fire script I downloaded from the workshop, I held down mouse one to guarantee that each gun would fire as soon as possible once it was done reloading.

I slowed down the timescale to 10% in order to be able to tell when each gun fired to the nearest 1/3rd of a second (since doing this makes the timer 10 slower than normal).

Once I tested each gun and had a pretty good guess of what it stopped at, I retried it to see if it would shoot at that exact time to the nearest 0.033 until I was confident what it was.

These results were all based on manual reloading, but I will figure out the rest in the future.

Equip Times
Before I get into the reload durations, I first want to explain the minimum amount of time that it takes before you can use a weapon once you switch to it from another slot.

Pistols can be equipped much faster than primary weapons, as the single pistol and magnum only take 0.500 seconds while dual pistols take 0.667 (the game files say 0.650, but it rounds up to 0.667 in 30 ticks).

Every weapon BESIDES the pistols (primary, slot 1 weapons) generally takes a minimum of 0.967 to 1.000 seconds before it can be fired, which varies weapon by weapon. I'll update this guide with specifics at some point, but this is a fairly small time variation.

The two exceptions that I found to this rule are are the MP5 and the SG552, which could both be equipped faster at only 0.867 seconds. Any other weapon, including the Scout, AWP, M60, and Grenade Launcher fell within the 0.967 to 1.000 second range.

I will also include the equip times and other time-based information about melee weapons and items in slots 3 through 5 once I complete everything on the main weapons.
Pistols (Manual Reload)
Take note that pistols have a different reload animation when reloading manually vs. emptying your magazine, and this is based on reloading before empty.

A single pistol and the magnum take the same amount of time to reload, while dual pistols take quite a bit longer.

Single Pistol: 1.667

Dual Pistols: 2.333

Magnum: 1.667
Pistols (Empty Clip)
To determine how long the pistols took to reload when empty, I applied the same method as I did with manually reloading all the guns, except I emptied their clips to 0, switched to another slot, and replaced the +reload bind with slot2 when starting the timer.

This is why I stated how long it took before each gun could be used, since that will need to be subtracted in order to determine the duration of the reload by itself without the equip times.

Once again, the single pistol and magnum take 0.500 seconds to be equipped, while the dual pistols take 0.667 seconds to be equipped.

As with the manual reload durations, the single pistol and magnum are the exact same.

Single Pistol = 2.533 - 0.500 = 2.033

Dual Pistols = 3.200 - 0.667 = 2.533

Magnum = 2.533 - 0.500 = 2.033
SMGs
The silenced uzi and silenced smg are the same while the MP5 takes much longer.

Uzi: 2.233

Silenced SMG: 2.233

MP5: 3.067

Assault Rifles (+M60)
The M16 AND AK-47 are fast, closer to SMGs, while the SCAR and SG552 are slow, closer to to snipers rifles.

Believe it or not M60 can actually be reloaded if it is given reserve ammo with the cvar ammo_m60_max), and it's similar to the AK-47's.

M16: 2.200

AK-47: 2.367

SCAR: 3.300

SG552: 3.400

M60: 2.400
Sniper Rifles
Hunting Rifle: 3.167

Military Sniper: 3.333

Scout: 2.900

AWP: 3.667

Shotguns
All shotguns take exactly 0.500 seconds to reload a single shell.

The one exception to this rule is the auto shotgun, which reloads its first shell in a sequence slightly slower than the rest, while each subsequent shell is 0.500 seconds. This does not apply to the SPAS, which reloads all of them at the same speed.

It was a little bit harder to get an accurate time measurement for the shotguns, given that their reload can be cancelled at any point to be fired, which meant that I am not able to hold +attack without it stopping its reload to fire.

While I couldn't figure out exactly how much longer it takes to fully reload the auto shotgun vs. the SPAS shotgun, it appeared to take approximately 0.2 seconds longer.

Pump Shotgun: 4.000

Chrome Shotgun: 4.000

Auto Shotgun: 5.200

SPAS-12: 5.000
Grenade Launcher
Because the grenade launcher only has 1 grenade per magazine, the cycle time also needs to be taken into consideration, which is the time interval between shots if the grenade launcher could shoot more than 1 grenade before reloading.

This means that there's a small delay before the grenade launcher begins to actually reload, which means that I will include the total amount of time that it takes between being able to shoot a grenade from the grenade launcher since that's a more accurate measurement.

Duration of *actual* reload period: 3.600

Cycle time (as per the game's weapon stats): 0.500

Total time between grenade launches = 3.600 + 0.500 = 4.100

I know it's been a couple months but I finally got around to adding information about the grenade launcher. Sorry about the delay for anyone who was waiting.

So I added that in but left it as a range given that it's more difficult to measure shotgun reload times since they can be cancelled at any moment to fire, which means that I am unable to hold mouse 1 and record when it fires since it will cancel the reload.

auto shotguns load the first shell slower than the rest, so you should take that into account when calculating the full reload time, but nice guide otherwise :)
