Tips/Info
  • Both new moves can be performed at any time during Sword Mode, and they can also be used immediately after an Element Discharge.

  • Both moves do consume a lot of your Switch Gauge so it's best to use these moves right before you run out that way you can deal the maximum damage possible also by performing this move you will end in Axe Mode anyway.

  • Full Release Slash can only be used during the Amped State, while Unbridled Slash can be used when your weapon is Amped or not.

Few more things. Spam Y or triangle in axe mode. The combo is changed. They do a strong horizontal axe slash after they do a weak horizontal one. Kind of a finisher, and it seems to recover a lot of sword gauge. This can also be accessed when you do a sword to axe morph, hunter does a weak horizontal axe cut, then you can triangle into the stronger new thing. Its similar to the big axe move of monster hunter rise.

ZSD is a little different also. Before, amped state, then element discharge, you climb and use zero sum discharge. Now, you have to hold down the discharge button and charge a little bit for it, then hunter will climb. They prob changed it so instead of climbing, you can use the new unbridled or full release when amped. Ending w the new thing = strong flinch free, hard to knock you back, but you get hurt. End w ZSD = you fly backwards. Stronger than a regular discharge. Like 30%? stronger.
