This remaster is not necessary, but the remastered version looks better in every single moment. Thats the truth, most of ppl here are just rage baiting.

They upgraded the game to use the same engine as in Forbidden West. As for money, it was $10 if you had the previous version... Not sure it's that either. (It's literally a coffee...)

@TheDizzle78 I agree. I can't see a single moment in the game where it doesn't look better than the original, don't know how people see the original as looking better.

9:25 The hair detail, the detail on the sleeves, the blue fabric is more detailed, the bruises/dirt on her arm is more visible lighting on her face is more natural. 9:49 Better depth of field, foliage is more dense and flowers larger and more detailed, lighting is more natural on the male character. 9:53 Lighting on Aloy's face is more natural, grass under Aloy is more detailed, shadowing on clothing is better....... I could go on and on. How it doesn't look better to people is baffling.
