Skyrim Mods: Armors [Outdated]

Bored of the vanilla Skyrim armors? Install the mods featured in this guide, and you won't have that problem anytime soon again.

Introduction

This guide features a list of the most popular Armour mods. All mods featured in this guide will have links to their modpage at Nexusmods[www.nexusmods.com]. Don't know how to install mods from Nexusmods? Read my guide: Skyrim Mods: Installation, it follows the installation process of a mod.

• Mods tagged with [F] are useable for female only.
  
• Mods tagged with [M/F] are useable for both female and male.

That said, most of them are for female characters.

Armors Mod List

1. Tembtra Thief Armor [F]

A new craftable scaled light armor found under steel category. Available in UNP, UNPB-BBP, CBBE, CBBE-TBBP, BodySlide and offering a wide range of customization from skimpy to badass. 4K and 1K texture resolutions also available for download.

2. Crimson Twilight Armor [F]

It comes with HD textures, obviously, it is craftable at any forge, can be improved and can be enchanted. You can find it under the Ebony category. By default it is heavy armor, but there is a light armor version for those who think that is not how it should be.

3. TERA Armors Collection for Skyrim [F/M]

This mod will give you 64 armors from the game TERA Online (23 heavy, 28 light and 13 robes), converted for use in Skyrim with the UNP female body and the vanilla male body, all with balanced stats and smithing recipes. Some armors are on the weaker end while some are intended for end-game characters. Some higher level armors require appropriate smithing perks to be craftable, while some are available for you from the start.

4. Arise - Chapter 1 - The Black Sacrament [F]

The Black Sacrament Armor pack is the first installment of The Black Phoenix Stealth Assassin guild mod. Black Sacrament Armor is a standalone, fully modular and customizable armor system comprised of multiple parts, add-ons and color variants, as well as a handful of new weapons.

5. Improved NPC Clothing - High Res [F/M]

Not really a armor mod, but this mod improves all npc clothing to a higher resolution, while keeping the look almost the same.

6. Scarlet Dawn Armor [F]

Not much to say about this mod, it's red & black and compitable with a lot of bodyreplacers.

7. Lustmord Vampire Armor [F/M]

The Lustmord Vampire Armor is a light armor that comes with a new crossbow and is compatible with Vanilla/UNP/CBBE. It also features a mini start-up quest and a special ability called Bloodthirst. Bloodthirst basically means that wearing a full set of lustmord armor makes it possible to fuel it with blood potions to grant an armor bonus.

8. Seraphine Armor [F]

This time it's Seraphine's armor from Hunted The Demon's Forge.

9. Northgirl Armor [F]

This mod add the female Northgirl light armor to Skyrim. It is craftable at any forge and can be improved, you find it under the Hide section, amulet under Jewelry section.

10. Triss Armor Retextured [F]

This mod adds Triss Merigold's outfit from the game "The Witcher 2" into the world of Skyrim. There are a couple of color and style variations, making it possible to choose from 1014 different outfits.

Immersive Armors

This mod is slightly different from other armor mods, so that's why I decided that it deserved a special place in this guide. Immersive Armors add many new armor sets that have been seamlessly integrated into the world. The items are balanced and spread across your gaming experience. You will be finding new armor sets that match your power level starting from level one up to level fifty and beyond.

Currently this mod adds 55 new sets of armor to the game (over 60 including variants), tons of addition non-set helmet options, 396 new shields and a large number of other items such as eye patches, capes, earrings, scarves and more! They are all craftable, upgradable, enchantable and are integrated into the game through leveled lists, quest rewards, placement in dungeons and/or onto specific people.

Go back to Tumlr SJW. Also great suggestions, as a user of Immersive Armors I can say it's the best on the list if you want a lore friendly selection of outfits for both male and female characters.

Armour suggestion to add... Razor Scale Armor and Cannibal lord Mask by Zerofrost. The original replacer was a brilliant pre Check work that was taken off but there's a version that was uploaded as standalone as well later. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29111/?

Dont see much in the way of lore breaking save some of the Tera stuff. Keep in mind. .this is not earth or our feudal past.. this is a world with a magic school called ALTERATION. WIth magic.. what possibilities are there? A lot.

If I may, I would like to suggest a few mods. They're female only, but I would highly suggest both the Elven Scout, and Elven Rogue armors. They are entirely lorefriendly, and personally, the Elven Scout armor is quite breathtaking.

TERA is the only specifically lore breaking armor here. All the others could easily exist in Skyrim. And if you think the game has shite for lore then you've obviously never delved into it so I'll forgive your ignorance :)
