Intro
When I play games I often think about in-game things, that could be improved. Sometimes I make concepts of such things and share. Here's some of them regarding SULFUR.
Chest next to each point of interest [IMPLEMENTED]
It's very useful to have a chest near every trader, zone entrance and cooking pot. It may look a little odd, but will save A LOT of time that you're currently forced to spend running from the cave chest to everything listed.

Example: At the entrance to the Sewers

Example: Next to Ralphie

Example: Next to cooking pot

Developers added multiple staroage units and added storage chests near some area entrances in The Storage Update, 13th of November 2024.
Recipe book
Judging by the discussions and guides, people want a book to write their recipes in. Given the game's exploratory focus and devs' obvious love to cooking, it would be right to save only those recipes that the player has already discovered on their own, not showing them all from the start.

Nifty concept art by me:
Please add borsch to the game
Traders near the Church
Armsdealer was there in demo, so where is he now? He does not arrive even if you complete his quest (by giving him him 2 dog eyes). Same with most of the other traders you encounter in your runs. I wanna spend my money after I bring it home, please allow me to!

Even the Vince is confused
Also this glitched spruce bothers me more than it should
Stats window placement

It sometimes hides under the screen :(
Visible weapon enchantments
Attachments are visible, so why not make oils and scrolls visible too?
I understand it's is a lot of work, but this still can be implemented in the future.

Another concept by me:
I just made them both as stickers but it would be great to see scrolls wrapped around the weapon or pinned with a wax seal, or their symbols engraved on the gun itself. I have no idea how to show the oils except with a sticker.
(The additional winows are there just to show what items I used)
Armor enchantments
One more idea regarding enchantments. It will require separate oils and scrolls for armor.

Another concept art:

Take a look at the Warhammer-style seals and oil hangin' on the belt! Visual implementation for every piece of clothing would be too much, I just wanted to make another concept.
Shooting range
I had a thought about this after seeing some targets in the caves. Would be cool to bring some to the surface, since there's a lot of free space now. Infinite ammo "spell" for training would be appreciated too.

Feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments, I might add them!
Special thanks to my mom, to developers of SULFUR and to chefs from cuisines of different nations of the world! And thank YOU for reading! Happy halloween!

@rookienovaz
These are actually very brainy, sir! I especially like the bank and mushroom farm.
I won't illustrate your suggestions, because I cooled towards the game and probably won't play or "draw" anything until it's 1.0, But you should definetely share them in official game's Discord. I really hope something like this will be implemented in the future.

Being able to build buildings by the church.
The player would gather materials/cash to build an upgrade them.
Bank: Stow cash and generate interest every expedition.
Shed: Very expensive and big storage.
Sulfur Reservoir: Generates an ingredient that would serve as false sulfcap ingredient.
Soup Kitchen: Generates broth, bread, and other good. Food can be donated, granting a innate charisma buff based on the quality/quantity of the food.
Insurance agency: Pay lots of cash to insure your gear is replaced upon getting slain, Upgrades would include cheaper prices and bundle rates if the player has certain sets.

It would be cool if the oils did different things depending on whether you applied them to guns or armor. Devs wouldnt have to make more oils and the choice between adding it to a gun or armor would be a cool decision making aspect of the game

A recipe book would be a great addition. There's a ton of combinations and remember based off what I have is a lot

Make a way to increase your stash size, can be bought with sulfur.

I'd love to be able to buy 'insurance' on gear. Sure make it expensive. Make it last for only one death and then everytime afterwards the cost goes up and up. Maybe even make it require some rare drop item or something. But just SOMETHING to make it so if I die with my favorite gun, I get to keep it.

*ah that church donation box gives you money after dying so buying a loadout is feasible post death

Some sort of “buy a loadout” mechanic would be neat. The risk of losing your stuff is important in a game like this, and having a quick way to get back to a similar power level (albeit with random weapons/amor) would make losing more of an exciting and acceptable experience. I guess this would require not losing (as much?) gold on death or a separate permanent currency?
