Introduction
Hi, welcome to this guide on how to easily mod your copy of Guilty Gear Strive.
It is actually fairly easy to do so once you know where to look.

In this guide we're gonna make use of Unverum[gamebanana.com] and Gamebanana[gamebanana.com].
If you're using a steam deck or other linux machine, then please check out this guide to help you get Unverum set up for your device:
Step 1: Install Unverum
While you don't necessarily need Unverum, I still highly recommend you to use it since using it in combination with Gamebanana lets you very easily update your mods automatically, saving you a big headache with having to manually install everything.

First off, download Unverum, the link of which is in the introduction.
Do not worry it's in the Dragonball FighterZ section, Unverum is used for a lot of different games, two of which are Dragonball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive.
Next, simply open the .exe, and the first time it's launched you may get a message that asks you to install .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime if it is not installed already.
Simply install it, as you'll need it to progress further.
Step 2: Finalizing the setup
Next we're gonna need to select the game we're gonna mod, which in this case is Guilty Gear Strive.
Click on the game icon on the top left of Unverum and select Guilty Gear Strive.
Afterwards, you want to do the setup so Unverum knows where the game is.
Click Setup, and then locate your Guilty Gear Strive folder in your steamapps folder (typically located under ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\GUILTY GEAR STRIVE).

If you're having trouble finding it, simply go to your Steam Library, right click on Guilty Gear Strive, then click properties.

Navigate to Installed Files and then click browse.

You should be in the correct folder now.
Simply copy over the path towards this folder and then paste it in the Setup window's navigation bar, and select GGST.exe.
Step 3: Downloading mods
This one's doable in two ways, one being a bit easier than the other but both should still be fairly intuitive.

Method 1 is simply using Unverum's built in mod browser.
You can search for specific mods here, or simply browse it to your heart's content.

If you find one you like, simply click download, and a prompt will show up asking you if you would like to install it.
Click yes, and it will install.

Method 2 will have you browse Gamebanana in your web browser.
It works much the same way as the Unverum browser does, except you're directly using the Gamebanana website and thus can comment on the various mods you see there.
Browse for a mod you like, and then instead of simply hitting download you click on the Unverum button that says "1-click install".

The same prompt from method 1 should show up in Unverum ask you to install the mod, to which we click yes.
Step 4: Deploying the mods
This one I can see people getting mildly confused about.
In order to actually deploy the mods you downloaded, you first need to make sure the mods you wish to enable are enabled in the Manage Mods tab (and vice versa).

Once you've made sure they are, click on launch.
This makes Unverum deploy the mods to your copy of Guilty Gear Strive.
It also simultaneously launches the game, so you can check if the mod is working if you'd like.

If a mod isn't working, try to go to the Gamebanana page and see if the author has a fix for it that Unverum didn't account for.
99% of the time the mod should deploy fine though.
Step 5: Updating mods
In case there is an update to a mod you've downloaded, any time you boot up Unverum it should automatically check for updates of the mod.
You can also manually have it check for updates by pressing the Update Mods button on the top right.

To correctly deploy the updated mod, hit launch after having it update.
Closing words and miscellaneous comments
Here I'm gonna make some comments that I couldn't neatly fit elsewhere in the guide.
You can play online like usual with mods installed.
I personally only play with cosmetic mods, so I don't know how any gameplay affecting mods will interact with online play or if you will get in trouble for it, but cosmetic mods are perfectly fine to use online since they are client-side anyway.

If you liked this guide, please give it a positive rating and share it amongst your friends who might need help with this as well.
I hope this guide has helped you and many others modding their copy of Guilty Gear Strive, and I wish you a lot of fun doing so!
