Work-around for Shotmeter and shot timing visual cue randomly changing during games in the park
This issue has been present in 2K games for years, and it's unlikely that 2K will fix it anytime soon. However, I have a workaround that can help.

1.
First, you'll need to get comfortable shooting with the default release timing cue. Since "release" is the default, it won’t revert or switch to another cue, which helps prevent random shot-timing changes after some games. This can also help you avoid going 3-for-15, so mastering this timing-cue is key.

2.
To stop the shot meter from turning back on automatically, go to the controller settings and set "Shot Meter Input Type" to "Pro Stick Only." Unfortunately, this doesn't fully fix the issue, as the meter will still appear when using the Pro Stick. However, it guarantees that the meter will never turn on again when shooting with the X/Square button.

If you prefer shooting with the button, this workaround should work well for you.

i did use a thumbnail from: Pac Hoops - https://www.youtube.com/@PacGaming - shoutout to him.

thanks, i always find that the shot meters are super inaccurate. I can get greens a lot more consistent with the meter off
