Out Of Bounds Guide

Ever wanted to be truly away from it all? your own little hidden area for you to fish freely? Well after this guide say goodbye to that ever happening after i spill the beans on how to clip out of the world

Wait, you can clip out of bounds?

yep! turns out its surprisingly easy to, all it takes is

• Being at least camp tier 1 (having at least 1 private island is needed)
  
• A little bit of positioning
  
• A thin wall

please bear in mind that while this works right now, it could easily be patched out, as it is clearly unintended and an exploit of mechanics. While it is harmless and a funny little way to fish in cool spots, be aware that this could be out of date.

So how do you do it?

The main example people have found and clipped through has been called THE VOID, so. how do we go about getting into THE VOID then?

Step 1 - Finding a wall

Go to the shop, and walk right into any of the walls, any of the walls seem to work, but most people pick the wall behind the frog seller.

Once you're flush with the wall, take a few small steps back, but then turn around to face the wall. Remember that the alt key allows you to sneak, so you can finetune your position.

Step 2 - Placing a flag

once youre facing the wall, but a few steps away from it, open up your prop menu (the V key) and choose one of your private islands.

Placing a private island prop spawns a flag infront of you, and normally its blocked off by walls, water, or anywhere it consideres invalid, but since the walls of the shop are so thin, and there's floor behind it, you should end up with this!

Now simply walk forward, and because you left a bit of space, you should be able to interact with the flag to travel to your private island.

Once you leave your private island, you should be behind the wall! since travelling from your private island to the main island puts you exactly where the flag is, that being THE VOID.

Step 3 - You know what that means, fIsh

enjoy some peaceful fishing in the dark! you can interact with every shopkeeper and sell fish through the walls, or instead go to your flag to sell your fish within your private island! pretty self suficient.

if you ever want to leave, just pause and return to spawn, your flag wont go anywhere until you remove it from your prop list!

there is ocean water surrounding THE VOID, and with a well prop, you're able to catch both types of fish here. I find it helpful placing a prop like the picnic blanket to show where the ocean water starts, so you don't keep accidentally falling in, pretty cozy :3

bear in mind this works for the aquarium as well! just follow the same general steps.
but what if i said we could go further?

There's more?

So turns out, private island flags aren't equal, even though you get three, the order you use them matters

If you were to:

• Place any private island
  
• Place a second private island
  
• Go into the second private island
  
• Leave

you wont be put at the flag of the second private island, you'll be put at the first flag you placed instead!

So, you place your first flag wherever you'd like


Place your second flag somewhere else


Go into the private island of the second flag, the newest one. Once you travel back, you should be back at the first flag!


hopefully that makes sense, but think of it like portals, whatever island flag you place first, that becomes the destination flag of any of the other 2 private islands, no matter where you place those two, and no matter where you place the first flag.

Step 4 - Escape

• Place your first flag in THE VOID, using the aformentioned steps
  
• Put your second flag anywhere outside, it needs to be outside on the main island, not in the shop itself
  
• Go into the second flag you spawned, and then leave your private island

if you do this correctly you should be in THE V- wait what







you end up here, completely out of bounds from the main map, in the middle of the ocean. you spawn in a walkable square, surrounded by water you can fish in.

it turns out this is the location of where the inside of the shop is, on the physical map, any time you enter the shop, this is where you go. and when you enter THE VOID, you're just put here too, its just because the room inside is completely black, you cant tell its a part of the map.

when the game tries to send you to the first flag you placed, it puts you at the coordinates of where the flag is, but since the flag is inside the building, you're simply put at the coordinates of that flag, but on the main map.

that's why you cant see a flag in the above image, you're where the flag is, but on the wrong layer, youre outside instead of inside.

this also works if you place your first flag in the aquarium, if you follow the steps youll be placed in the same area as well. either way, its another nice place to fish.

But what if we reversed the steps?

• place your first flag anywhere on the island
  
• place your second flag in the shop (or aquarium)
  
• go into the second flag, then exit your second private island

and just like that, you're in THE VOID ISLAND.


its the entire main map, but from the layer that the shop is in, that sphere around it is just black, which is what creates the void background inside the buildings.

the void island is a 1:1 copy of the island, bridges, mushrooms, you just arent able to interact with anything that requires you to press E

but you can still fish :3

One more final

while this trick cant be used to clip out of bounds, it does let you access funny spots within the map, or just chill in the sky, though while it seems simple, it can be awkward.

Purchasable props rely on the same mechanics as flags, placing in front of you as long as there is a valid floor in front of them. And as long as a prop is long enough, the prop itself can count as a floor for another prop to spawn on. so....

Step 1

The therapy chair can be placed on top of the table

The table can be placed on top of the therapy chair. i think you can see where this is going

Step 3

It's extremely finicky placing the table from the therapy chair, my tip is to stand at the top of the headrest slowly inching down.

As for placing the therapy chair on the table, stand near to the left so you're able to climb up from the side when the therapy chair is placed, spawned props always spawn away from where you're facing. so the headrest will normally block you from climbing up onto it.

any wall that is thin enough, and has floor behind it is valid, and you should be able to place a flag behind it to travel past the wall, you can end up in some funny spots.

I actually found another way into the white void that only requires 1 flag! (and for whatever reason it's pure white, there isn't the shop darkness or whatever).

Step 1: Place a flag (doesn't matter whether in the shop or not).
Step 2: Position your mouse over the "Return to Spawn" in the menu and close the menu.
Step 3: Stand on your flag and travel.
Step 4: Right after you press E to travel, open the menu and quickly click "Return to Spawn like 6ish times.
Step 5: If all went right, you should see nothin but white :>
