-THIS GUIDE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS-
To Do:
  • Finish mounts guide
  • Finish inner islands guide
  • Outer islands guide
  • Final islands guide

Overview
Complete the quest on all 8 islands to reach the final island and free Olympus.
Key Steps:
  1. Oracle Island
  2. Inner Islands -> each one unlocks an outer island
  3. Outer Islands -> complete all four to unlock Serpent Island
  4. Serpent Island
  5. Mount Olympus

Completing inner islands also unlock small ships that will let you bring more villagers with you.

Randomization
Unlike other game modes, many item locations are randomized in Call of Olympus. This includes mounts, hermits, and upgrade statues. You'll have to look for the icons on the map if you're looking for something specific.

The Oracle
If you get stuck, you can spend 1 coin to have the oracle give you a hint.

Souls
On most islands you will find souls. Pay 1 coin to collect them, there are 7 in total. You will use these on the final outer island.

Attacking Portals
At lower levels, instead of sending out knights to attack portals, you will go out with a group of hoplites and slingers.

The hoplite shop becomes available when you upgrade your kingdom to the final level available with only wood (looks like a stone house with wooden walls) and you have expanded your kingdom enough to make space for the shop near the outer walls. They cost 2 coins each. (Note that they also catch fish in the winter!)

Spend 2 coins at the flag outside of your wall. This will cause 4 hoplites and 4 slingers to follow you until you go back inside the walls.

Walk with them to the portal and they will begin attacking. If any of them are hit and lose their job they will run back to the kingdom and a replacement will join your party, if one is available.

You can attack more than one portal in a row this way, but note that this will spawn multiple blood moons worth of enemies.

At higher levels you can send out knights like usual.

Island Progression

Each inner island unlocks the corresponding outer island. Once unlocked, islands can be completed in any order. All four outer islands must be completed to unlock the final island.
Mount locations are randomized, so check the icons on the map if you are looking for a specific one.

I suggest getting these things early on:
  • Your preferred mount
  • Hephaestus' ability (2nd island)
  • Stone walls (2nd island)
Oracle Island (Starting Island)

Goal: Repair the temple and return the egg.

This is a tutorial level that gives you a basic example of what you will do on subsequent islands. Send troops out to destroy the portal on the destroyed temple.

Then send your builders to repair it for 3 coins.
When they're done, pay 1 coin to pick up the egg right next to the temple, and carry it to the center of the temple. The oracle will appear and give you a ship. (You don't have to build one on this level.)
You now have access to the 4 inner islands. Each one unlocks an outer island. They can be completed in any order. I suggest starting with the left ones, as they unlock stone walls and the best ability (in my opinion).

Outer Island
Ability: Artemis' Bow
A bow that can be used to attack.

Dog
I found the dog on this island both times, so it doesn't appear to be a randomized location.

Stag Mount
The stag mount is always found on this island, as it is required for Artemis' quest.

Inner Island Completion
Retrieve the idol
It costs 1 coin and you will carry it with you until you need it. When you collect it, a few greed will pop out and attack. If you have a mount with an attacking ability you can easily take care of them, or just lead them back to the kingdom wall.

Repair the temple
Just like on Oracle Island, defeat the portal on the temple, pay to have it repaired, and then drop the idol off.

You have now completed the inner island
Repair the boat and sail to the outer island. This is where you will gain Artemis' power. (You do not have to do the outer island immediately, once unlocked islands can be completed in any order.)

Outer Island Completion
To complete the outer island you must repair the cage and lure the golden deer into it.

Repair the Cage
Find the broken cage and pay 18 coins to rebuild it. Make sure your builders can get to it safely.

Lure the Deer
Next go buy the stag mount. It costs 1 gem and 3 coins. The golden deer appears randomly anywhere on the map. If you stand near it with the stag mount, it will begin to follow you like other deer. Lead it into the cage and then pay 1 coin to complete the quest.

Pay one coin to get Artemis' Bow and complete the island.

Outer Island Completion
This outer island is very similar to the inner islands, where you collect an item, repair the temple, and return the item to the temple.

Once the portal is destroyed, you must pay 20 coins to have your builders come repair it.
Pay 1 coin to pick up Haphestus' hammer and bring it to the temple. Like usual, greed will spawn, so either bring fighters with you or a mount that can attack.

Once complete, pay 1 coin to collect Haphestus' hammer and complete the island.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Winter will start as soon as you land on the outer island. Make sure you're prepared!

Outer Island Completion
Winter starts immediately here; get your defenses set up fast. I recommend clearing one side ASAP so that you only have enemies coming from one direction and you have a safe side to send your farmers out to to harvest. Don't forget that spear guys fish too, so if all else fails they are a source of money.

Outer Island Completion

Clear out the portals on the side with the special dock.
Deposit all 7 souls in the dock, then pay 1 coin to ring the bell. This will summon a wave of enemies, so either bring fighters with you or run back inside the walls right away. There are probably too many for you to take on yourself.

Once you have defeated the wave of enemies, go back to the dock and pay another coin to the guy on the boat.

Final Island & Mount Olympus
This island is a little weird. Your ships will arrive all the way on the left side of the island and enemies will only come from the right. Greed spawn from portals (like normal) and from the giant serpent.

The ultimate goal of this island is to complete the trojan horse and get through the gates to Mount Olympus.

Fighting the Serpent
The following information is just from my observations, so if there are inaccuracies let me know in the comments.

The serpent will appear at various places outside of your village. At night it will open a portal that will spawn greed. It will reappear after being defeated.

Serpent Movement
After being defeated the serpent will move to a new location. You can sort of see it in the water, but I'm not yet sure how useful this is.

Attacking a portal always seems to attract the serpent. It will cover up the portal and you will have to defeat it before you can take down the portal.

Serpent Weak Spot
When the serpent is present you will see a part of the serpent in the water, with the option to pay 1 coin on it. Walking past it is not dangerous and it will sometimes appear within your walls. When you pay the coin on it, a set of fighters will get in a boat and sail over to it and attack it. This weakens the serpent, so you should do it before mounting an attack on the serpent or a portal.

Building the Trojan Horse
Stage One
This stage is just like rebuilding your ship. Pay coins for each piece of the horse and the builders will come put them together. Make sure your builders can get there safely.

Stage Two
There are 4 wheels scattered across the map. For me these were always to the right of the gate. You may have to defeat portals/the serpent to get to them. Pay 1 coin to pick one up; you can only carry one at a time. When you run past the horse you will deposit it there and builders will come and attach it.

Stage Three
The last stage is the crown. Defeat the final portal to obtain it and pay 1 coin to pick it up. Bring it back to the horse and builders will come attach it.

Once the horse is fully built, pay the coins and you and some builders will enter the horse. Make sure you bring a full wallet with you. After a moment, some greed will come out and wheel you inside the gates.

Mount Olympus
Ok this is where it gets a little weird. Honestly I suggest you try it out once without this guide because it's super different from base game, but it is a little confusing.

You and your builders will emerge on the top of Mount Olympus.

The serpent will appear in the background and will shoot greed at you. This will break the pots, which drop coins. A lot of times this means the greed will take care of themselves, as they will collect the coins they reveal. If you need more coins, this is the only way to get them.

There are four statues that have to be repaired.

When complete, there is a portal all the way to the right that will take you back down to the island.

Congratulations!

I found the dog on Athena's large island, so it does appear to be random. And fished up the hippocampus on my second cast.

On the last island, I encountered many bugs because I took the wheel and attacked the snake out of order, such as citizens being unwilling to cross a certain boundary to advance the map, or a stranded ship disappearing from the map.
Therefore, it is recommended that you proceed in order to have the most complete experience.

Any idea how to get a hermit that's kidnapped by greed? I finished the game already but my bomb hermit isn't found anywhere :(

How do you unlock Pegasus? It won't show gem or coin requirement for me. Do you have to have a special mount in order to unlock it?
