Complete Guide to “Call of Olympus” DLC

This is a complete guide to the newest DLC, “Call of Olympus”, everything you need to know, all the stats of every island, every quest explained in detail, until the very end of the game and reaching the credits screen.

Introduction

I started playing the dlc as soon as it was available on October 8th, and I've been doing several runs to understand everything in detail, what things are on each island, where is each hermit located, how to do the quests, best routes to win the fastest, etc. I had a lot of questions while playing this dlc, I didn't knew what to do, and I searched for guides on this dlc but there was none, so I'm making this guide to help anyone like me, that wanted to see the stats on each island, wanted to know where everything is, and what to do. Hope this guide helps you, please let me know of any mistakes I may had made and help me with the missing pieces on this guide. Bear in mind this is my very first guide on steam and english is not my native language.

This guide is meant for somewhat experienced players, I assume you know the basics, the name of the hermits, statues, what they do, etc. This guide is only for the Call of Olympus DLC.

Main Goal

The main goal on this DLC is to free the sky island.


To do this, you must do quests on each of the 11 islands, I will call them like this:


- Island 0 unlocks islands 1, 2, 3 & 4.
- Island 1 unlocks top left island.
- Island 2 unlocks bottom left island.
- Island 3 unlocks bottom right island.
- Island 4 unlocks top right island.
- Doing the quest on the four outer islands unlocks the snake island.
- Doing the quest on the snake island, teleports you to the sky island.
- Doing the quest on the sky island wins the game.

Important: every walkthrough is unique

IMPORTANT: on this DLC, all statues, mounts and even number of gems in chests are all randomly distributed around islands on each walkthrough. The only thing that stays the same on every walkthrough are the quests on each island. So in this guide I use what I got on one of my walkthroughs to describe the items and their costs, but you probably won't find them on the same islands as I did.

Island 0

Quest

• place egg on rebuild temple

Rewards

• unlock islands 1, 2, 3 & 4

Steps

• destroy portal guarding destroyed temple
  
  
• To attack the portal, call to arms using the banner on that side of the island. To get pickmen with shield, which are great for attacking portals along your archers, you must get tier 3 HQ and build a wall on the side you want to attack, far enough so the pickmen building can spawn.

Island 1

• 0 gems
  
• 3 vagrant spawns
  
• 1 ghost skull, whenever you see one of these, pick it, you'll need them for the quest on top right island.
  
• mule mount, costs 2 gems. Active throws a bread that can be picked by greed or to recruit new vagrants on their camp. Here you can also unlock the guy in the pier that holds gems for you
  
  
• farms statue
  

Quest

• place golden idol on rebuilt temple

Rewards

• unlock top left island

Steps

• destroy portal guarding destroyed temple
  
• re-build temple
  
• pick golden idol. Warning, picking a golden idol will cause greed to fall from the sky at that location, be ready.

Island 2

• 3 gems

• 1 ghost skull
  
• "burning building" dog mount, costs 3 gems. Active buff all nearby units, including non-combat units, making them so fast they can sprint alongside you.

Quest

• place golden idol on rebuilt temple

Rewards

• unlock bottom left island

Island 3

• 6 gems

• chimera mount

  • using the active 3 consecutive times, you can move across land very fast
    
  • active: jumps far away in the direction you are going and leaves a fire trail
    
• ballista hermit

Quest

Rewards

• unlock bottom right island

Island 4

• 3 gems

• knights statue, costs 3 gems
  
• spider mount, costs 3 gems. Leaves up to 3 webs that cover a decent area behind it. The webs will only slow greed. Each web lasts maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of a night. If you have 3 webs and place another it'll get rid of the oldest.

Bottom Left Island

• 6 gems

Quest

• pick up Hephaestus hammer

Rewards

• 1 blue fire tower. You need the four towers (blue fire towers) on the snake island to be turn on, to unlock it

• place hammer on temple, and pick the reward
  

Bottom Right Island

Warning, as soon as you enter this land, it triggers winter.

• 4 gems
  
• 3 vagrant spawns
  
• 1 ghost skulls
  
• dog <3. Costs 1 coin
  
• water horse mount. Very good mount during winter, it doesn't use stamina. Here you can also unlock the fishing spot (3 gems). On my 3rd fish catched, the water horse spawned. If you get all 8 different types of fish, you get an achievement. It takes like 30 attempts.
  
• bear mount. Costs 3 gems
  
• IRON MINE
  
• spears statue. Costs 3 gems
  
• BAKER HERMIT <3. Costs 4 gems
  

Quest

• get shield from tree

Rewards

• 1 blue fire tower
  
• stops winter
  
• 4 farmers that follows you when you take a boat

Steps

• free the lady inside the frozen crystal
  
• to do this, attack it with your squads, but beware the greed falling from the sky
  
• after you destroy the frozen crystal and free her, pick her up and go to the tree
  
• then with the lady buy the upgrade on the tree/ To build it you must destroy all the portals to get there, otherwise builders won't reach there.
  
• after upgraded, you unlock the golden apple. After picking this apple from the tree, the big snake will appear near. The snake works as a portal, with greed spawning from it's head. After you kill that wave of greed, the snake goes away and the apple fall to the grround, where it can be picked. After you pick the apple, this blue shield will appear, you must pick it to end the quest.
  

Top Left Island

• 7 gems

• deer mount. Costs 1 gem.
  
• 1 of 2 mounts. You can only buy one, costs 3 gems. I took the one on the right, it's similar to the cat chariot from the Norse Lands DLC, it's fast & has a lot of stamina. It's extremely fast using his active
  
• catapult on tower hermit. Costs 3 gems
  

Quest

• Pick up Artemis blessing bow

Rewards

• 1 blue fire tower

Steps

• build the golden cage
  
• switch to the deer mount & make the golden deer follow you
  
• trap the golden deer in the cage & pick the bow reward
  

Top Right Island

• 5 gems
  
• 3 vagrant spawns
  
• 1 ghost skulls
  
• draft horse mount. Costs 1 gem. Is a bit faster & has more stamina
  
• stable hermit. Costs 1 gem
  
• 3 headed dog mount. To get it you must get 3 silver skulls. You get them by attacking a portal and using the jester staff active when greed get out of the portal. There's a chance a greed will come out with one of these skulls, when killed you can pick it. Only one skull per portal, so you need to attack 3 portals. Placing the 3 skulls on the door will unlock the 3 headed horse. It has the ability to spawn a temporary ghost squad.
  

Quest

• Pick up Hermes blessing staff

Rewards

• 1 blue fire tower

Steps

• place the 7 ghost skulls on the statue on the pier of the island
  
• ring the bell. The big snake attack will spawn.
  
• take the staff, after talking to the guy in the boat
  

Snake Island

Quest

• gain access to the sun & moon temple
  

Rewards

• enter the sky island

Steps

• To enter the temple, you must build the wooden horse. To do this kill the snake part that's on the water.
  
• then kill the snake on land
  
• and then pick a wooden horse tire, where the snake was killed, and place it on the horse
  
• you will need to do all this 4 times, because you need 4 wooden tires
  
• after doing that 4 times, and finished building the horse, go to the end of the island, and pick the golden crown
  
• place the crown on the wooden horse
  
• ring the bell near the wooden horse. This will gather your units inside it (make sure builders and archers get in)
  
• kill the snake one last time, and while it's dead, upgrade the wooden horse one last time. This will get you inside it and the greed will come and move all of you inside the temple
  

Sky Island

Quest

• build the 4 golden statues
  
• place golden crown on the statues in the middle. This will free the sky island
  
• congratulations, you've won Call of Olympus, roll credits

On the bottom left island some connection issues despawned the hammer when my friend activated the forge and now there is no blue brazier lit on that island. Is there a way to get around this or do i have to restart a new game?

Might be worth noting for the "bottom right island" that the fishing quest unlocks an achievement (as opposed to explicity stating "nothing" happens).

I have left sky island but stucked in the snake one as the boat has disspear.

i think the winter island is bug/glitch for me units wont move in to fight the greed to save the girl traped any advice
