Achievement: Zeroed Out

Are you working on your achievements? This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to easily obtain the Zeroed Out Achievement.

TLDR;

1. Equip the "Recycling Master" at the Display Case if you have purchased ANY Starting Fund Upgrades
   
2. Sign a Contract for 1-1
   
3. DO NOT START THE DAY
   
4. Based on your Starting Funds Purchase:
   --> 1250: 18 Boxes of Fructose or Cups, and 20 Boxes of Orange Juice
   --> 1300: 21 Boxes of Fructose or Cups, and 21 Boxes of Orange Juice
   --> 1350: 21 Boxes of Fructose or Cups, and 22 Boxes of Orange Juice
   --> 1400: 23 Boxes of Fructose or Cups, and 22 Boxes of Orange Juice
   
5. Based on your Starting Funds, Unpack and Dismantle
   --> 1250: 0 boxes
   --> 1300: 14 boxes
   --> 1350: 12 boxes
   --> 1400: 6 boxes
   
6. Pause the game and "Give Up Current Level"
   
7. Finish the level by accepting your rewards

Before we get started!

Your starting funds will change depending on what you have unlocked and purchased at the upgrade station. Please make sure you review carefully as the number of actions you need to take will differ.

Prerequisites:

Note that these prerequisites only apply if you have purchased any of the Starting Fund Upgrades.

• You must have unlocked "Slightly Bigger House", which provides 1 Display Case slot (Display Trophies)
  
• You must have unlocked "Recycling Master" in the Display Case Items, which requires you to complete "Demon"-difficulty levels.

Potential Starting Fund Upgrades:

• Cushion (available after you unlock the slightly bigger house): +50 Cup Coins at the start of the day
  
• Couch for Two (available after you unlock the living room): +50 Cup Coins at the start of the day
  
• Toilet Bowl (available after you unlock the bathroom): +50 Cup Coins at the start of the day

Setup

If you have purchased any of the Starting Fund upgrades, before you start the level, you will need to do some setup! If you have not yet purchased any Starting Fund Upgrades, skip this step.

[1] In your house, go to the display case and ensure that you have "Recycling Master" active as an item.

Sign a Contract

There are many levels that this achievement can be unlocked on, and you can even unlock it by chance!

If you want to do a calculated run to unlock this achievement, this guide shows you how to complete it on level 1-1, the first store in the Neighborhood Area Blend Drink.

Why this level?

• Deliveries take 3 seconds! No need to wait a long time between deliveries.
  
• Time is frozen before the day starts, which means you can spend as much time as you need before opening to complete the steps to unlock this achievement!
  
• Fixed prices and costs for this level make it easier to calculate the costs incurred and know what you need to buy and sell to break even!

Day 1

NOTE: DO NOT START THE DAY!

When you arrive at the store, check to see what your Cup Coin Balance is. Once at the store, the starting balance will update to be one of:

1. 1250 (no upgrades)
   
2. 1300 (1 upgrade)
   
3. 1350 (2 upgrades)
   
4. 1400 (3 upgrades)

Let's go over the math

• You Rent will always be 6 Cup Coins on Day 1 of this level.
  
• You will be provided 1 box of Cups, 1 box of Orange Juice, and 1 box of Fructose at the beginning of the day, for a total of 76 Cup Coins.

In this level, the cost of goods is:

S Cups Stack x4	16 Cup Coins

The calculations will look like this:

Order up!

1250 (no upgrades)

If your starting balance is 1250, your expenses need to come out to 1250 - 6 - 76 = 1168. You can do so by purchasing a combination of goods of varying costs.

Purchase:

• 18 Boxes of Fructose or Cups
  
• 20 Boxes of Orange Juice

1300 (1 upgrade)

If your starting balance is 1300, your expenses need to come out to 1300 - 6 - 76 = 1218. You can do so by using a combination of purchasing goods and selling cardboard boxes.

Purchase:

• 21 Boxes of Fructose or Cups
  
• 21 Boxes of Orange Juice

Unpack:

• 14 boxes and dismantle them (you will get 3 dollars per box)

1350 (2 upgrades)

If your starting balance is 1350, your expenses need to come out to 1350 - 6 - 76 = 1268. You can do so by using a combination of purchasing goods and selling cardboard boxes.

Purchase:

• 21 Boxes of Fructose or Cups
  
• 22 Boxes of Orange Juice

Unpack:

• 12 boxes and dismantle them (you will get 3 dollars per box)

1400 (3 upgrades)

If your starting balance is 1400, your expenses need to come out to 1400 - 6 - 76 = 1318. You can do so by using a combination of purchasing goods and selling cardboard boxes.

Purchase:

• 23 Boxes of Fructose or Cups
  
• 22 Boxes of Orange Juice

Unpack:

• 6 boxes and dismantle them (you will get 3 dollars per box)

NOTE: DO NOT START THE DAY!

End the Day / Give Up Level

Now that the Costs and Revenue align, DO NOT START THE DAY! Instead, pause the game and select "Give Up Current Level". This will end the day and your balance will be calculated.




Ultimately, you day end should look like this (if your starting balance was 1400):

• Extra Revenue: 18 Cup Coins
  
• Goods Payment: 1412 Cup Coins
  
• Rent: 6 Cup Coins

with the new upgrades you can get up to 1450 starting coins, quick math says 36 sugar/cups and 18 orange, I'm sure there's a better solution but for anyone coming after me :D
