Game Directory
First we're gonna go to our main game directory folder so for that go to your steam library right click on the game and select properties

Now once here on this tab click on Installed Files and then once there we click on Browse

And there we have it our main game directory folder
Patcher Installation
Now in order for this to work we must download Mod Patch so we can install
our mods and also of course the mods that we want to have on our game
here's the patch and a few websites where you can download mods

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero UTOC Signature Bypass Patch [ko-fi.com]
Mod Website [gamebanana.com]
Mod Website 2 [www.nexusmods.com]

Now we go to our main game directory folder and follow this route SparkingZERO/Binaries/Win64

Once there we open our Mod Patch that we previously downloaded, and paste Plugins and dsound.dll into our game folder

And it should look like this
Mod Installation

Now we are gonna download the mods that we want to have on our game in this case for this guide this is the mod i will be installing

Gogetta Ssj4 Alternate Colors [gamebanana.com]

Now we go back to our main game directory folder and follow this route SparkingZERO/Content/Paks

Once there we will see bunch of files
and we proceed to create a folder named ~mods

We open the mod file we just downloaded and paste it into our mods folder we just created

Once done that it should look like this

But if you want to organize in a much better way your mods you can just create a folder with the mod name this step is optional

mmm i think the save is located in %appdata% i dont remember honestly, i dont think it would matter if etiher way you get banned by bandai for using mods with new slots or something like that, if you just use skins or soundtracks something that couldnt affect the online mode you'll be safe at least that how i play even on other games like tekken

Does the game store saves in the install directory? Is it safe to just use a copy of the main save as long as I don't go online?(with the exception of vs modded friends)

First of all if you only play with skin mods or soundtracks is not gonna affect the online at all, but if you use other slots, new stages and all then I'd recommend you to have another game's copy if you use unverum then probably you'll have many other slots and stages and all that kind of stuff, never heard of a ban for using mods with new slots or stages but it's not worth to take the risk unless you are playing with a friend who has the same mods as you

Hey, do I need to make a separate save for modded gameplay or is it going to be fine? I wouldn't want to be banned from leaderboard-based modes just because I wanted to play some modded characters in PvE modes.
How does the stats screen react to playing modded?(like the part showing your most used characters)

if you are using unverum for new characters it may not work for the new update, at least now im playing without mods since day 1 patch
