INTRODUCTION
Last updated on October 8th, 2024; game version 1.12
Never made one of these before, but I found myself looking for one when I couldn't remember where certain perks/weapons were in subsequent playthroughs. I'm not sure whether I want to add things like weapon stats or descriptions of the perks, etc, to this guide later or if I'll just make a separate one. For now, this might not tell you what anything is, but I hope it's still useful.

WEAPONS
There are six weapon slots, with one specific weapon class & hotkey for each respectively: Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles & Explosives. Getting to specific amounts of kills with each weapon individually will unlock two different modifications that you can apply or remove from the inventory, which include:
  • EXTENDED BARREL - Increases bullet velocity, but aiming down sights is 10% slower. The downside is negligible.
  • MAGAZINE - Increases rounds per magazine, but reloading is slower. Another negligible downside in my experience.
  • SILENCER - Enemies can't hear shots, but bullet velocity is 20% slower. I can't really tell you how useful the silencing aspect is, because I don't use these at all. (I'm very bad at leading shots.)
  • SCOPE - Adds a scope. Technically there's no downside but bigger scopes can obstruct your view when you aren't using them, especially while surfing.
  • HE ROUNDS - Bigger explosion radius. Hard to disagree with.
As well as a few that are only available on a single weapon:
  • INCREASED ROF - Increases rate of fire. Only available for the BD-36, which does happen to be the slowest automatic weapon in the game. Fair enough.
  • STABILIZED - Bullets are no longer affected by gravity. Only available for the M302, which is also the only weapon that's affected by gravity.
  • DOUBLE-TAP - Fires twice per shot. Only available for the Bergman. While the slow pump-action is one of it's biggest drawbacks, firing twice per pump doesn't quite fix it if you can only fire both shots in quick succession instead of one at a time. Pragmatically speaking, you're more or less using twice the ammo & reloading twice as often.
  • STOCK - Removes recoil, but aiming down sights is 20% slower. Only available for the Mini-7, and makes it the only weapon in the game that can reach zero recoil. Unfortunately, it also has really low bullet velocity. Still kinda neat.
  • FULL AUTO - Switches from single-fire to full-auto. Only available for the Grandad, which not only can't handle it due to its recoil, but is also the only single-fire weapon in the game that consumes two bullets per shot.
Some other fun facts about weapons in this game:
  • Nearly every weapon can be fired repeatedly without any real delay, including burst-fire.
  • You don't have to have a weapon equipped in every slot, if cycling through with your scroll wheel is proving troublesome. (Just keep ammo count in mind.)
  • You can't open your inventory during scans or boss fights, so prepare in advance.

KILLS REFILL JUMP Kills reset your jump count. GRAPPLE ENEMIES Hitting enemies with grapple sends them flying. PINATA Enemies killed with melee drop triple loot. XRAY VISION Enemies are given a red outline when you're aiming down the sights, which shows up through walls. MAGNETS Pickup range for ammo and health is tripled.

SNIPERS POP BUBBLES Sniper rifle bullets destroy shields in one shot. GROUND POUND Landing a ground pound sends nearby enemies flying. ADRENALINE Bullet-time power. Enables an energy meter that you can fill by moving fast. ROCKET START Activating your board just before touching ground grants a speed boost. TAKE THIS All bullets penetrate through enemies when your health is full.

EXTRA RAMMING SPEED Ramming enemies with hoverboard sends them flying further. GUNSLINGER Pistols reload 33% faster. FEEDBACK Getting a headshot refills one bullet into your magazine. TONY GLOCK Wall-grinding generates ammo for your held weapon. (In-game description says 1 every 2 seconds, but it's definitely faster.) LIFT OFF Jumping in air causes a small explosion that knocks back nearby enemies.

TRAUMA TEAM Hitting an enemy while surfing restores 1 HP. MARKET GARDENER Deal triple damage while you're airborne from an explosion or wind jump. It turns off as soon as you either land or grapple. It's also slightly bonkers. Easily my favorite.

EXPLOSIVE GRAPPLE When you grapple, an explosion is created at grapple point. RICOCHET If a bullet nearly misses an enemy and hits a nearby surface, it will bounce back towards them. TACTICAL RELOAD Reloading a weapon within 1 second of getting a kill doubles reload speed.

PVP Your allies can now damage you. Also hides you from their HUD and map.
DISCLAIMER: PVP is the only perk you don't get from a scan. It's in the one of the two chests in Underpass, which both open when you clear the enemies out.
BONUS PERKS
I can only understand why some of these aren't available until after the credits.

ROLL CAGE You can flip whenever surfing, even on the ground. RECOIL THRUSTER Shooting straight down pushes you upwards. SMGs are now jetpacks! CHOKE Shotgun spread tightened when aiming. (This one doesn't actually seem to work?) BREACHING TOOL Shotguns deal extra damage to buildings.

STYLE Bullets do triple damage against enemies while you're upside-down. (Technically you can still "flip" with flipping disabled in the settings. Just aim straight down while you're on the board in mid-air.) SMG_+ SMGs get 5 extra rounds per magazine. FIREWORKS Killing an enemy who is knocked into the air makes them explode. OPTICS Aiming down sights has 20% more zoom.

AIR BRAKE Aiming while in air makes you freeze in place, you resume your previous momentum when you stop aiming. (Works insanely well with Market Gardener & Style.) PACKED Shotguns shoot 1 extra pellet. PUSHBACK Shotguns knock back enemies.

AIRBURST You get unlimited ammo for explosive weapons, but they only knockback enemies and do not deal direct damage. Knockback strength is doubled. PANIC BUTTON Weapons fire explosive ammo when you have low health (1 HP, or 20%, whichever higher) Panic lasts for 5 seconds after healing. TIME MAGAZINE Reloading an empty weapon drops a grenade. (By the way, both of these perks wreak havoc if the weapon you're using has to reload after every shot.) SHOCK MAGAZINE Reloading an empty weapon creates a shockwave. HOVER DASH Get a small boost of speed when you start hoverboarding. Has a cooldown. (Fun fact. It still kinda works when your board is disabled in certain bonus scans.)

HAMMER TIME Melee kills refill Adrenaline by 25%. BULLETS PICKUP PICKUPS You can pick up health & ammo pickups by shooting them. HEADSHOT KILLS EXPLODE Explains itself. BEST FOR LAST Last round in weapon magazine is explosive. FEED THE BEAST Killing an enemy with an explosive makes them drop explosive ammo. (Works with grenades & other sources of explosions too)

ONE HIT KILL You die in one hit. TOUGH GUY Spawns extra enemies in world. PAINTBALL Bullets splatter paint. (Purely visual) GUNGAME You get unlimited ammo but can't change weapons. Weapons automatically change every kill. HEADSHOTS ONLY Only headshots deal damage. AIRSHOTS ONLY You can only damage airborne enemies. RANDOM HATS Enemies wear random hats. NO AUTO LOADER Holstered weapons no longer reload automatically. EARTH IS LAVA Touching the earth hurts you! NO HEALTH PICKUPS Health pickups only drop from enemies. NO AMMO PICKUPS Ammo pickups only drop from enemies. ENDLESS SCAN Scans never end! To end you must press respawn in pause menu. Only works for server host.

Hello again. Would be very much delighted if you update the guide with the location of new guns, especially the LMG). BTW, new update rocks! The have updated a lot of stats.

honestly i gotta say the dmr is kinda... eh
doesnt really provide anything other than firing faster

do wish the pump shotgun and grenade launcher had something over their later variants since both are effectively upgrades

I'm sure anything that gives a 20% velocity penalty will have a worthwhile effect. I'm just terrible at leading shots :alphys:

On a sidenot bout silencers, it's useful on the maps where you have cover, for the enemies will have a waaay harder time detecting you, so will be running and shooting blindly for a lot of time.

Not sure what to do with the map, because I can only test how it looks on my own screen/browser. I'm not too familiar with the formatting of steam guides since this is my first one, but I'll have to fiddle around with it. (In the meantime, you can zoom in if you open the full image through the link on top.)

The initial purpose of this guide was more or less for repeat playthroughs, where you want a certain perk or weapon but can't remember where you got it. However, I am planning on expanding the info to add things like weapon stats, perk descriptions, bonus scan modifiers, etc.
