Alternative way to save Samarie ( and other characters )

So basically I accidentally discovered something I don't see anyone online talk about.

The method

Okay so while playing the game on my 2nd playthrough, I discovered something interesting. I have successfully completed the game and got Ending A "The Machine God" without ever interacting with Samarie (I never went to the Rher dimension and didn't fight Dysmorphia).


Then, the usual image that shows the contestants that survived popped up, and there she is! Our favourite obssesive lesbian girlflop survived the festival.

Keep in mind that I completed the game on the night of day 2, so it wasn't like I completed it on the morning of the first day, which would indeed let me save Samarie the usual way.

I'm not sure when exactly on day 3 does she transform (I might update this section if I get any feedback/help), but as long as you don't talk to Samarie before she transforms on her own and you get Ending A, she should be safe and sound!

Of course, you won't get peak yuri when Samarie tells Marina that she's her meaning, but if you only care about Samarie surviving because you love her as much as I do, while at the same time being too bad at the game to save her in the morning of the first day, this might be the method for you!

Now, I'm not sure if this would work on the other characters, but seeing how Karin and Dann survived the festival as well, as long as you get Ending A before the characters transform on their own or you trigger something that moonscorches them (like the dialogue with Samarie outside of day 1 morning) AND you don't have them in your party when fighting Logic, they should be safe and sound!

This only really works with Samarie and Pav, everyone else who dies or moonscorches will do that even if you dont see it. And on day 3 night, everyone moonscorches or dies even if they've been saved. I believe Daan goes right on day 3 morning and takes Olivia with him (if olivia is in the Bop she'll be safe, if Daan is in the Bop both stay unmoonscorched). Pav and Samarie will die or moonscorch respectively in the afternoon. And only Karin, August, and Osaa will be guranteed to survive right up to the time limit, everyone else will drop to story events if you arent around to see them. Long story short, try to get in town by day 2, and try to win before day 3.
