Time has past and most everyone likely has Shiny's, but the people who don't or started the game late like me, here is a simple guide of how to get Shiny creature's to collect resources 'coolly'.

So What is a Shiny?

Welcome to the Shiny Creature Guide! What is a Shiny Creature? Well...










It is a normal Creature you can rescue but with a star and different color, like pokemon!

It changes nothing, same amount of resources that the normal creatures give and sale for, just cooler to have and show that you grind enough on the game to even have shiny beasts!

Where to Start?

A Good Video Guide

First find the Beast or Beasts you want to hunt, I know this video says "Thestrals" but I have used this and it works on the others too!


I DID NOT make this video, I have watched it and used it myself and even said in the comments that it worked, THANK YOU Hornbadger!

But this trick helps with restarting Beasts and hopefully after a few tries you get the shiny!




There are some shinies you can acquire from side quests, main quests, and DLC. Notable ones being Highwing, Caligo, and Gwyneira the Diricawl. It doesn’t have the shiny symbol next to their name, but they are indeed shiny. The Phoenix can’t be bred and there are no shiny versions of it.

Little baby Shiny's?

You can acquire a shiny offspring by breeding 2 non-shinies. Breeding 1 non-shiny with a shiny partner can give you a shiny offspring. 2 shiny parents will give you a shiny offspring as well. In-case some people are not aware, babies do not grow out of their Offspring stage. They will stay Offspring forever!
