### Guide to Setting Frametime limit with RTSS
By I am Greatness
**Objective:** Minimize micro-stuttering and achieve a smoother frametime graph during CPU-intensive games.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
**Install MSI Afterburner/RTSS:**

Ensure you have MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) installed. These tools allow you to set a frametime limit.

**Add the Game to RTSS:**

Open RTSS.

Add the game you want to optimize (e.g., Call of Duty: Warzone, MW3, Rogue Company).

Set the application detection level to "Low."

**Set Frametime Limit:**

Click on the "Framelimit" option until you see "Frametime limit."

Set the frametime limit to achieve stable frame delivery. For example, setting it to `16000` microseconds (16ms) can help stabilize the frametime graph.

**Adjust for Performance:**

Be aware that setting a frametime limit may reduce your maximum frame rate. For instance, if you typically run games at 240 FPS, you might see a reduction to around 70 FPS with the frametime limit in place.

The trade-off is a more consistent frame rate with reduced hitching and micro-stuttering.

**Combine with Other Techniques:**

Feel free to combine this with other framerate limiting techniques like G-Sync, V-Sync (NVIDIA Control Panel), FreeSync, VRR and setting a max limit of your monitor's refresh rate.

Calculations for Frametime Limit:
**Frametime (microseconds) = Frametime (milliseconds) × 1000**

For 16 ms: `Frametime = 16 ms × 1000 = 16000 microseconds`

For 33.33 ms: `Frametime = 33.33 ms × 1000 = 33330 microseconds`

By setting the frametime limit to 16ms (16000 microseconds), you aim for a consistent 60 FPS, which can significantly smooth out gameplay, especially in CPU-intensive scenarios.

--

Feel free to adjust the frametime limit based on your specific needs and hardware capabilities. This approach should help you achieve a smoother gaming experience with fewer interruptions from micro-stuttering.
