If you have already traded the sword for the wand when you open the chest in the "make omelette" room, the chest gives you the bat orb instead of the blood sword.

Also this map doesn't show an invisible path above the first doorway one screen right from the starting point

When you come a screen above the invisible ladder you notice that there are two ladders that lead to the room with the chest. However when you come to the room below that should have 2 ladders, you see there's only one, leading you to guess that there's an invisible ladder
