Jungling and Farming Neutral (Unsecured) Souls
By cara_capretta
Apart from farming troopers, there are other sources of Souls around the Deadlock map which can be collected in order to spend on stat upgrades in the shop. The areas outside/in between the lanes is called the Jungle, and so farming Neutral Enemies in these areas is called Jungling. This guide describes where to find them, their spawn timers, how to use them, and what you get from them. All this information and more guides on our website www.ultimatedeadlock.com

Unsecured Souls
Apart from farming troopers, there are other sources of Souls around the Deadlock map which can be collected in order to spend on stat upgrades in the shop. The areas outside/in between the lanes is called the Jungle, and so farming Neutral Enemies in these areas is called Jungling.

These Neutral Souls, once collected, will not appear in your Souls count immediately, but appear at your side as a small silver orb and become absorbed over time. If you have up to 100 unsecured Souls they will absorb at a rate of 1 per second, and for every extra 100 the absorption rate increases by 1 per second.

You can spend the Souls as soon as you have them, absorbed or not, BUT if you are killed before all the Souls in your silver orb have absorbed, you will drop the orb and it can be picked up for up to 3 minutes.
Breakables
There are several different looking breakables that can be found all over the map. They will not show on the mini map but can appear as wooden crates, vases, jars, and wooden chests. These all have a chance at dropping Souls once smashed.

These breakables start with 35 Souls, and increase by 1 every 20 seconds.

Vending Machines (Sinner's Sacrifice)
These machines, titled “Sinner’s Sacrifice”, can be found from 10 minutes into a match, and provide significantly more Souls in one place than the breakables.

The vending machines have 500 HP and can be attacked successfully with melee damage. Light melee will give you 19-25 Souls and heavy melee will give 39-50 Souls depending how far you are into the match. After the Vending Machine breaks, 7 more Soul orbs will appear, ranging from 26 – 37 Souls each (also depending on the length of time of the match). It is worth noting that doing damage to the machine will also take away your HP (40 HP per hit, light or heavy attack so it’s more efficient to heavy melee them).

For an average match you can expect the vending machine to provide 350 – 520 Souls, depending on the time in the match.

There are 6 Sinner’s Sacrifice vending machines on the Deadlock map (2 locations with 2 machines, and 2 locations with 1 machine) and they spawn at 10 minutes and respawn only once each, after 5 minutes.
Jungle Camps and Denizens
There are many jungle camps scattered throughout the Deadlock map that contain Denizens or Neutral enemies, that can be farmed for Souls. There are 3 types of Denizens – green, yellow and red; or small, medium, and large.

Jungle camps can be located on the mini map as they appear. They are visible as small green triangles. A triangle alone signifies a small Camp, triangle with one line underneath is a medium Camp, and with 2 lines underneath is a large Camp.

Killing these is a good way to increase your Souls, but unlike the Breakables and Vending Machines, they will fight back and can cause serious damage once you initiate attacking them, especially the red ones, so be warned and maybe don’t go for these ones until you’re ready!

The stats for the Denizens is as follows:

6 Easy Green camps start spawning at 2 minutes into the game, and respawn after 4 minutes.

26 Medium Yellow camps spawn at 7 minutes and respawn after 6 minutes.

8 Hard Red camps spawn at 7 minutes and respawn after 8 minutes.

What heroes would be good for jungling ? I can only think of abram
Ruibarian Sep 26, 2024 @ 7:48pm
@lilia it's technically dota terminology, jungling didn't start in league.
Lilia The Succubus Sep 26, 2024 @ 3:52pm
Is it canonically jungle, or is that just League terminology being placed onto it? I wonder what Deadlock's canon name would be. Dens? Noots?

@Zamu The unsecured souls secure overtime that's why the number goes down. The number itself means how many of your total souls are unsecured. They are not separate from your total souls.
Zamu Sep 24, 2024 @ 7:13pm
I still do not understand what I am suposed to do with the unsecured souls, where I should deliver them? Why they lower their number after a while... Can they be spent? Do not fully understand...
