Way to change game language

100% working way to specify game language (on PC)

Step 1: Open Steam Client settings

Step 2: Navigate to "Interface" tab

Step 3: Choose preferred language

As dev confirmed earlier in discussions, Plucky Squire translated into:
English
French
German
Spanish - Spain
Japanese
Korean
Portuguese - Brazil
Russian
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Spanish - Latin America

Step 4: You don't need restart steam if you don't want to

(if you restart steam it will change all steam interface text)

Step 5: Run the game

If the game supports this localization, it will launch in the selected language

On Steam Deck here : my steam system is already in french and the game is still in english. Changed it in the ini file and still nothing. I might wait for an update that add the language selection in game.

In steamdeck doesnt work change the language tab in steam_emu.ini or doge.ini
