100% Achievements Guide

In this guide I will be going over all of the achievements to help you get that 100% you so want for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. If you have questions for the guide or wish to point out any mistakes, please leave a comment.

Things to know before getting started

• Control terms you may see throughout the guide
  
  • LP: Light Punch
    
  • LK: Light Kick
    
  • MP: Medium Punch
    
  • MK: Medium Kick
    
  • HP: Heavy Punch
    
  • HK: Heavy Kick
    
  • Quarter and half circle: just maneuvering the stick or d-pad in a motion like such. If a quarter circle start from the bottom and move it either forward or back. (e.g. forward quarter circle would be down, down forward, forward), and a half circle is similar usually starting from the left or right and ending on the opposite side.
• You can always remap any of the controls to your liking in the settings per game. Nearly any move can also be assigned to 1 button press.
  
• Some achievements may be easier with 2 players to pull off. Since 2 players can not use a keyboard in this it is recommended to have an extra game controller on hand. Or 2 controllers if you do not wish to use a keyboard.

X-Men: Children of the Atom Achievements Guide

To Me, My X-Men!
Play X-Men: Children of the Atom.

• Start the game and complete a match.

Uncanny X-cellence
Complete X-Men: Children of the Atom. (Continues OK)

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

Hyper X Finish
KO an opponent in X-Men: Children of the Atom with a Hyper X move.

• Build up the special bar below your health, and finish off an opponent with your character's hyper X move. The easiest way is just to use the L2 or Left Trigger button which is set to it by default. You can also adjust this in the settings menu if you like.

Push It to the Limit
Achieve a 50-hit combo in X-Men: Children of the Atom.

• This one can seem more luck based. I personally used Iceman and did his Arctic Attack Hyper X move on a cornered enemy. It was not a guaranteed 50 hit instantly and I had to reload quicksave a few times, but eventually it got it.

Challenger from Another World
Encounter Akuma in Arcade Mode of X-Men: Children of the Atom.

• 
• Remember to pick manual after picking your character. Important.
  
• You actually can play with adjusted difficulty. I'd leave the rounds at default though. Does not seem possible if you keep it at 1 round.
  
• Your Hyper X needs to actually hit. Meaning the enemy can not block getting chip damage instead.
  
• You also need to land a Hyper X move at least once triggering a minimal combo as shown in the imaged guide above.
  
• Summoning Akuma is not enough. you also need to actually beat him to trigger the achievement.
  
• Definitely make use of quicksaves here.

Marvel Super Heroes Achievements Guide

War of the Gems
Play Marvel Super Heroes.

• Start the game and complete a match.

Across Infinity
Complete Marvel Super Heroes. (Excludes auto mode. Continues OK

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

A Whole New World of Pain
Pull off an Air Combo in Marvel Super Heroes.

• The easiest way would be to perform a launcher that sends your opponent into the air, and follow them quickly with a super jump and just do a combo on 'em. Any combo really. There's really multiple ways to do this, just as long as the combo is with both you and your opponent in the air.

Suitable Stones
Activate the gem most suited to your selected character in Marvel Super Heroes.

• Just make sure to activate an infinity stone on a character that best suits them.
  
• Power Stone – Wolverine, Captain America, Psylocke, Spider-Man
  
• Time Stone – Hulk
  
• Soul Stone – Iron Man
  
• Space Stone – Magneto, Juggernaut
  
• Reality Stone – Blackheart

Raiders of the Lost Ruins
Go to the hidden area in the Chaos Dimension Stage in Marvel Super Heroes.

• Set up a match with 2 players, and after selecting both players hold down the start + Y button on controller 2 or your controller's equivalent. This will send you to the chaos dimension stage. Next up you will want to knock player 2 into the hidden part of the stage by crashing them through the right wall. This easiest done by using characters like Juggernaut who can just use the L1 preset.

X-Men vs. Street Fighter Achievement Guide

The Crossover Begins
Play X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

• Start the game and complete a match.

Mutations vs. Martial Arts
Complete X-Men vs. Street Fighter. (Continues OK)

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

Two Fists Are Better Than One
Pull off a Cross-Over Combination in X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

• Get 2 super bars and forward quarter circle and HP + HK to do a cross over combo.

That's Raging Demon to You, Sugah
Use Rogue to finish a match with Shun Goku Satsu in X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

• 
• The quickest way to do with is to have a 2nd player. Pick Rogue as player 1 with the other player as Akuma. Steal Akuma's moves as Rogue with a back quarter circle and any kick button. Then get Akuma's health down and finish him off with Shun Goku Tatsu, which is just a LP, LP Forward, LK, HP.

You Just Sit Back and Relax
Eliminate all opponents without using your reserve character in X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

• Win a match without ever switching characters.

Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter Achievement Guide

Welcome to the Adventure!
Play Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.

• Start the game and complete a match.

Remade With Real Power
Complete Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. (Continues OK)

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

A Duo of True Blue Hadokens
Defeat the opposing team with a Double Shinku Hadoken in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.

• Pick Ken & Ryu. Do their crossover combination (2 bars required) to finish off an enemy. Forward quarter circle and HP + HK to pull it off.

From the Shadows
Encounter a challenger in Arcade Mode of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.


Keep Your Day Job!
Pull off Dan's secret entrance in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.

• Just pick Dan and hold down LP before the match starts. Keep holding until he falls on his face and the achievement is triggered.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes Achievements Guide

Let's Go Crazy!
Play Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

• Start the game and complete a match.

Beyond the Battle
Complete Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. (Continues OK)

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

Bosom Buddies
Call your Special Partner in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

• Call in your assist character. Easy enough to do with with a simple MP+MK button combination on the controller.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Hurt
Pull off a Duo Team Attack in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

• Make sure to have 2 super bars filled and do a down to back quarter circle and HP+HK to pull this off.

This One's a Keeper!
Pull off a pose on the victory message screen that nets 10,000 points in Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes.

• This one is super tricky and I recommend picking someone like Chun-Li to pull this off. What you need to do is at the end of a match start hitting the start button until you can move around freely. This allows you to set up a pose for some bonus points. The pose will lock in and register about a second and a half after the points are tallied for the match. Chun-Li is an easy one to do this with a front to back half circle plus HK. If you time it right so that she is doing a perfect handstand you will get the necessary 10,000 points for the achievement. Make sure to use quicksaves for this one as it can be tricky.

The Battle for Survival Begins!
Play Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.

• Start the game and complete a match.

I Wanna Take You for a Ride
Complete Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. (Continues OK)

• Simply beat the game and watch the credits.

Exit, Stage Left
Pull off a Snapback in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.

• This requires you knock an opponent out of the playfield to force them to call in one of their partners. Easy to do as long as you have at least 1 super bar. Just do a forward quarter circle + either the R1 or R2/RB or RT (or your controllers equivalent) to perform the snapback.

Galactic Smasher
Pull off a Team Hyper Combo in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (consumes 3 Hyper Combo Gauges).

• Just so there's no confusion this is not like the crossover combo that has all the characters out at once. Instead you need to do each characters hyper combo back to back in rapid succession so that each new one cancels out the previous.

Give 'Em the Ol' One-Two
Deal simultaneous damage to active and reserve characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.

• When your opponent calls in for an assist just make sure to land damage on them both.

The Punisher Achievements Guide

If You Want Peace, Prepare for War
Play The Punisher as Punisher.

• Start the game as the Punisher. This will unlock after you beat a stage.

Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Play The Punisher as Nick Fury.

• Start the game as Nick Fury. To do this you will need to select player 2. Like with The Punisher you also need to beat a stage.

One Batch, Two Batch, Penny and Dime
Complete The Punisher. (Continues OK)

• Beat the game. Simple enough.

Like Fish in a Barrel
Destroy 20 oil drums on the bonus stage in The Punisher.

• You'll come across this section as you play through the game. It's unskippable, so you won't miss it. If you have issues destroying the drums you can also use the built in rewind feature which is only available for this title. If you missed this achievement earlier you can also just skip to this section with the stage select in the in game settings. It is titled as Bonus Stage.

Oh, Thank You!
Save Barbara from a jail cell in The Punisher.

• In the 2nd level you will see some cell doors. Just punch them. One of the prisoners will be Barbara. Just like the Bonus stage achievement above you can just skip to this level if you missed it the first time around.
  
• This area specifically:

Say Your Prayers!
Reach the top of the offline rankings in The Punisher.

• Just clear at least 1 million points and register your initials when the game is over. Easy enough to do since you'll earn far more than just getting the game completion achievement.

General Compilation Achievements Guide

Heroes Never Give Up
In any game, use a continue for the first time.

• Pretty simple achievement. Just die in any of the games, and make sure to continue.

Jaunt Across the Universe
Play each game in the collection.

• Easy one to knock out. Just unlock the similar achievement for each game and this one unlocks after you've done it for all 7 titles.

Master of the Universe
Complete each game in the collection. (Continues OK)

• Just beat all of the titles at least once.

Monumental in the Multiverse
Complete each game in the collection with every character. (Continues OK)

• Beat every game with every character (including hidden/secret characters). Sounds time consuming right? Well... Luckily team based games count every character in the team upon completion. So this will save some time with those specific titles. Also make sure to kill yourself at bosses and continue and set up a quicksave at the character select screen. Then just burn through the roster reloading quicksaves at those boss fights!
  
• In X-Men vs. Street Fighter if using the quicksave time saver make sure to use this method for the stage 7 fight against Apocalypse.
  
• Don't forget Norimaro! He's only selectable in the Japanese version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.
  
• If you want to absolutely cheese this, make sure to go into the settings for the games (from the game select screen) and lower difficulty to 0 stars, raise attack power to max, set the timer to fastest, and rounds to 1.
  
• If you think you completed everything for this achievement but it did not pop, you missed something somewhere. You can luckily check progress by going to the fighter awards page and selecting player progress for this achievement. It will tell you who you have left to beat each game with.

Wrapping things up

Okay, now that you know what to do, get ready for the fight of your life!

Just to clarify something:
Unlocking the "That's Raging Demon to You, Sugah" achievement CAN'T be done by selecting Rogue and Akuma as your team, then having Rogue defeat her partner with Shun Goku Satsu after defeating Apocalypse.

You'd think that would be a viable method for unlocking that particular achievement, but no. The game just won't have it.

FINALLY got it! Yes, you do have to eliminate the second opponent each round with a crossover duo super move.

Do I need to finish the last fighter of each round with the cross-over finish?

From the Shadows is frustrating. I used Dark Sakura and Ken and made sure to not only perform a duo cross-over finish with every round, but I also used Dark Sakura's Super Hadouken to finish every round, and it still made me fight Apocalpyse and Cyber Akuma.

I'm noticing the "encounter no other special characters" requirements, and I fought M. Bison in one of the rounds. The encounter that grants you the achievement has you fight M. Bison and Akuma, correct? Am I not supposed to fight either of those to get the achievement? Just hope and pray that RNG doesn't put me against them?
