In August 1992,
Citybus agreed to loan the 3-axle Leyland Olympian from Transport for London, UK, to conduct an assessment of the subsidiary to test the situation of luxury, larger capacity, air-conditioned buses in London. Finally 331 was delivered to the Capital Citybus of North Sea Group Bus Company, located in east London, for a trial of this vehicle. In British service, the number of seats in the upper deck was reduced by 6 to 51 to meet British requirements.
