These mouse and keyboard control changes are what I found helpful.

What works for me may not work for you.

May at least one change help you, if only to inspire customizing your wargear to better serve the Emperor!

Yes I like these controls! I completed the tutorial and then the first mission using the old controls and it never felt right. I have since restarted and inputted your suggestions. Very good, thanks for writing the guide

I assigned the buttons primarily for convenient shooting:
Aiming - RMB (Hold)
Shooting - LMB
This allows you to effectively play all classes with ranged combat, especially with heavy weapons like a bolter.

Melee - F (At first, it's unusual, but for classes with more than 50% of the time in ranged combat, it's just right)
Parry - side mouse button (So that it's always at hand)
Ability - Q (rarely used)
Healing - 4 (So that you don't accidentally press it)

This is better but requires razer software or any that can rebind scroll down to be scroll click. Left and right click are shoot and aim. Melee is scroll click (so click and scroll down are melee). The rest are preferance really, I use 1 of the dpi buttons right below the mouse wheel for parry, I also stopped using this exactly and instead put finisher as right control, then added it the the mouse wheel up and down as add modifier within razer rebind- so my Melee is numpad *, scroll click is numpad * for heavy attacks, then up and down on the mouse wheel is Melee AND finsher, but it works the same way, roll mouse wheel for light, click for heavy.

I definitely like CTRL being hold aim rather than middle mouse button being toggle. For the heavy class, you can't cancel aiming with a dodge or parry, so it sets you up for frustration. I changed to hold CTRL and now take much less damage while using the heavy bolt weapon.

Annoying… especially when you consider that you just have to change your weapon to modify the setting of mouse buttons… you would have lost a bit of time but gain a lot of comfort…

this has ben the most annoying 5mins of my life with keyboard and mouse there has always ben anything melee related bound to melee button so gun bash melee finisher ect and having it all on diff things is so annoying then the part where t is default bound to 2 key binds like tf guys you can do it for one thing but not the others like put a scroll wheel or something the person who designed keyboard and mouse makes my brain hurt thinking about how they play cause its gotta be like watching some one play piano only touching the mouse to readjust it every so often so they hit stuff this is the type of stuff that i thought was basic knowledge that players like simplicity to controls on pc cause we don't like having to play moonlight sonata whilst trying to focus on what going on around us anyways thats my rant about it
FreePain 11. Sep. 2024 um 18:53
but 21+keys and all only 1 keybinding is ..

usually on the side of a mouse, unless you have mouse with just left, middle and right buttons

Where exactly is the 5th mouse button?
