⌨️Using the console

The Deadlock is currently live on NA Central (Chicago), EU (Stockholm), Asia (Hong Kong), South America (Santiago) and Oceania (Sydney).

1. Press the F7 key, opening the console
   
   
   
   
2. Type the following command
   
   
   Commands per region:
   
   
   
   • 🌎 north america

     citadel_region_override 0

     
     
     
     
     
   • 🌍 europe

     citadel_region_override 1

     
     
     
     
     
   • 🌏 asia

⚙️Set automatically (advanced)

By default, the game reverts back to the closest server region each time it starts. If you always want to play in another region, he's how you can set your default without using the console:

1. Set Deadlock's launch arguments
   (Steam Library > right click on Deadlock > Properties...)
   

   -console -exec autoexec

   
   
   
2. Find your games install directory
   (e.g. 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock')
   
   
3. Navigate to: '...\Deadlock\game\citadel\cfg'
   (e.g. 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deadlock\game\citadel\cfg')
   
   
4. Create a file named: Autoexec.cfg
   
   
   
5. Add the console command inside the new file
   (e.g. citadel_region_override 1)
   
   
   
6. Done!

⏰Why are there specific matchmaking times?

Edit: Matchmaking is now open 24/7 for all regions!

Due to the nature of Deadlock being in a closed beta phase, player numbers outside of peak times would mean it's difficult to create fair and balanced matches as consistently. This was confirmed by a Deadlock developer via the official Discord:



The restriction on matchmaking times will almost certainly be lifted in the near future (likely once the game leaves closed beta).

@Kowalski Just had another look at this and I can't see Africa as an available option either. The devs probably need to manually add it to the command.
