Kickstarter Update #1
KICKSTARTER campaign, and a brand new TRAILER!
Release date: 2017
The Game

Lynn and the Spirits of Inao is a 2D action/platformer which combines a refreshing art-style inspired by Hayao Miyazaki movies (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) with the old-school feeling from the Super Nintendo/Genesis era and the non-linear progression system from the Castlevania/Metroid series.

The story takes place on Inao, a beautiful island where humans and spirits used to live in harmony with one another. But for an unknown reason, the usually peaceful spirits suddenly started to torment the inhabitants of the island creating an oppressive climate of fear. You play as Lynn, the young apprentice of the High Priestess of Inao, and begin a fantastic journey through the wildness of the island in order to find the cause of all this turmoil and save the inhabitants of the island.

  • Hand-drawn art style inspired by the art and film of Hayao Miyazaki.
  • Solid platforming gameplay enhanced with modern design.
  • Day / night cycle mechanic deeply integrated with gameplay and level design.
  • Open world design that encourages exploration and discovery of the island's plentiful secrets.
  • Epic boss fights!
  • Tons of side quests, collectables, and skills to unlock. Complete the game at 100% to unlock even more secrets.
  • One of the most adorable character duos in gaming.

I will never get my hopes up for any game ever again. I was really up for a studio ghibli type videogame. :(

Can anyone tell me if there is still a chance that this game will be made and coming to Steam?
I mean is there any chance that this game is going to be continued by someone else then Bloomylight Studio?

Well, someone has to make it. Its video game development, the job security has always been shit.
Almost every game ever has to have grunts or nothing would ever get made. This is like eating ground beef and pretending the cow never go slaughtered. That cow died for you to eat that meat, if you want that good meat, just let it die.

@Sieg Hart 89 I second this. Interns were exploited and illegally pressured by the creator... There is no team, it's only one guy not even here half of the time. The rest of the so-called team is composed of interns (a friend of mine was one of them) who worked for free on this without being credited... I won't back this project, I'm even ashamed that this is even up... This guys doesn't deserve all the awesome work these interns made for him.
Hope it dies soon and that they press charges against him.

Actually, it's gonna die. The (only) dev is abusing of intern student to make the game, without paying them or even reconizing them. There is no "in game footage", it's a lie. It's just animated stuff to look like IG footage. Why ? Because there's no programmer on this project. And there's more but I think you've understood : he fucked up, it's fucked.
