Setting up DJV for EXR renders
De 8onJour
DJV and blender use different settings to view EXR files, because of that working with EXR can become difficult. This guide will help you set up DJV so it matches (roughly) blender's look

NOTE: the colors are not 100% accurate

Blender settings
First off all remember the settings used for your image, they will come in handy later

In the Render tab under "Color Management" you can find settings for the display device, view transform, look, exposure, gamma and the sequencer

all of those settings affect the final render in different ways, for this guide i'll assume these are set to default.
Setting up DJV
By default DJV doesn't display renders right, because it uses different settings to view EXR files:
default view of a render in DJV

to fix this we will first change the gamma settings under view > image controls > levels
blender technically uses a value of 1, but in reality this value is around 2.2 by default

the image controls window alongside the render

to make the image look even closer we can change some settings inside color management

for the previous image i used "nuke-default" with the view set to sRGB
under "image" select "openEXR" and play around with the settings, for me the sRGB, sRGBf and raw settings look identical
i recommend comparing your image to the original render if you changed the sequencer inside blender
TL;DR
change your gamma to 2.2, use nuke default with the appropriate image/display settings (sRGB for default)
Why not use the OCIO?
in some version of blender the OCIO used for filmic stopped working with DJV, afaik agx is not supported either

the only choice you had if you wanted to use filmic's OCIO was to revert blender back to an older version and copy the file from there

here's a comparison between a PNG render and EXR
note: the colors on the neon sign are slightly off, unfortunately i can't find a way to replicate blender's visuals 1:1, this is as good as i could get it to look

so yea bye lol
