DISCLAIMER: Goddess Ilias, while fully Safe For Work as a Rivals of Aether mod, hails from Monster Girl Quest, a strictly NSFW eroge. Please research with discretion, and be mindful of the age of those you share the mod with.


Goddess Ilias, the Cunning Goddess of Light, descends upon the world of Aether, bringing forth a ruinous twilight.

Ilias is an excessively oppressive character, tailor-made to violently blow through her adversaries with massive, yet slow attacks. Boasting high weight and crushingly powerful attacks, one would expect the Goddess to be slow, although such a thing could be no further from the truth. The Goddess is blessed with lightning fast mobility, deceptively shifting her hurtbox as she moves across the ground, while possessing multiple jumps in the air, all of which is complimented by an excessively mobile wavedash. Despite these obscene traits, Ilias is cursed with an incredibly large hurtbox, and, due to the general sluggishness of her moves, may struggle to escape combos. She may be able to dish out ruin and steal stocks in a flash, but her own cunning may be her very downfall, overextension often resulting in the Goddess's untimely demise.

Spread via her Neutral Special and Down Tilt, Ilias may spread either Holy Ground or Holy Clouds, depending on whether she is grounded or airborne respectively. Both articles further boost the Goddess's mobility, boosts her gain of Holy Energy (Which itself is required to spread the articles in the first place), and enables Enhanced Mode when encompassed by her domain. Ilias's entire moveset is drastically improved while Enhanced, oftentimes speeding up her dreadful frame data and boosting damage.

Taunting after reaching full meter will see Ilias entering Rapture Mode, slowly burning away the rest of her meter whilst granting her an endless supply of Enhanced moves.


Neutral Special (Grounded): Hallowed Ground
Ilias spreads her arms and walks, spreading Holy Ground in her wake. Hallowed Ground is almost entirely lagless, while possessing greater speed than her walk, allowing her to spread her gimmick-enabling article with little trouble.

Neutral Special (Aerial): Empty Sky
Ilias throws her arms out to either side of her body, energizing the air and spreading Holy Clouds on either end of her body. Rather than constantly spreading as with grounded NSpecial, Empty Sky is nevertheless fairly snappy, giving Ilias a small upwards boost of momentum all the while.

Forward Special: Spark / Thunder of Judgement
Ilias winds up, crackling Holy Lightning forming upon her finger before she releases a bolt of energy at the player's desired angle. Ilias may fire directly ahead, upwards at a sharp angle, or downwards at a sharp angle, the bolt of energy reflecting upon the nearest Holy Article and aiming itself towards the nearest applicable opponent.

Fully charging FSpecial will see Ilias launching her signature attack, Thunder of Judgement. This sees the bolt of energy transforming into an incredibly fast beam that explodes on contact with an opponent, retaining the aforementioned ricochet properties from uncharged FSpecial while significantly amplifying its speed and power. Smart Cloud and Ground placement allows Ilias to reflexively alter between belligerent, bully-esque gameplay with her massive normals and calculating FSpecial setups on the fly.

Up Special: Holy Gates
A ray of light descends from the Heavens, Ilias ascending as it does so. Ilias grants herself unrestricted free flight during Up Special, although slipping free from the considerably slower-moving cone will force Ilias into pratfall. Stalling, while tempting, is hardly viable due to the significant meter drain Ilias endures while continuously flying.

The horizontal movement of the cone becomes increasingly in-line with Ilias's flight speed as she gains meter, allowing it to function as a proper onstage mobility tool at higher levels of meter.

Down Special (Tapped): Goddess's Gift
Ilias reaches downwards and siphons Holy Energy from the earth, granting herself a lingering Enhanced Mode buff until she spends it on an attack, or after three seconds pass without action. A fairly strong small-term buff for immediate reward, albeit a short-lived one.

If Ilias uses DSpecial while standing within Holy Ground, she siphons the energy directly from the article, refreshing its “health” and granting herself a timerless Enhanced mode buff, which is similarly spent when an attack is thrown. An incredibly meter-efficient move that “maintains” her Holy Ground, granting her much better overall meter return.

Down Special (Held): Divine Intervention
Ilias clenches her palm and dramatically swings it downwards, a burst of Holy Energy flooding the stage as her Holy Ground and Clouds erupt explosively. A slow, but incredibly potent tool that allows her holy articles to act as bombs… At the rather heavy cost of losing all the regainable meter stored within said articles.
