SOLUTION: "Inappropriate Activity Detected" on Steam Deck
By ♐Raptor227™
After the release of the add-on, many players encountered the error “Inappropriate Activity Detected. Unable to log into online mode. This problem mainly occurs among owners of the game WITHOUT purchasing the add-on; on a PC, as a rule, when such an incident occurs, checking the integrity of the files saves you, after which the network mode works like clockwork, but on the deck the problem does not go away, no matter how many times you check the files, the guide was created specifically to tell you how to overcome this problem and get started play with network functions, and if SUDDENLY on someone's PC the problem is also not solved by checking the files, then you can also look for a solution here for yourself.

What should we do?
And so, if you are here, then when loading the menu you see this message:
In this situation, you will not be able to play online and will lose some of the mechanics associated with them.

What to do - in order:

1. We go to the desktop, yes, you will have to interact a little (quite a little) with Linux

2. Go to the root folder with the game, the screenshot below shows how to do this in the fastest way:

3. Right-click on an empty space (or LT if you don't have a mouse) and create an empty file like the example in the screenshot below and name it "DLC.bdt"

4. Make sure everything looks exactly like the screenshot below (our newly created file is also among this whole bunch):

That's all, go to game mode and try to launch the game, you should no longer be confused by the statement about the impossibility of playing with network functions and the behavior is now quite adequate:

I look forward to comments confirming that this method helps, and personally helped me. Have Fun!

My English is poor, there may be many errors in the instructions, if anyone is ready to put things in order in the text, a vacancy for a contributor is open.

I can confirm this was what I had to do to get mine to work online. Haven't had any problems in weeks. Wild they can't patch this.

This bug will also occur on PC ports of the game if you never bought the DLC. So add the file to your PC port before it randomly breaks your game like it did mine. So this bug is a universal one for all systems that don't also own the DLC. (I was able to play on PC for like 30 hrs post DLC launch before I got this error.)
