Moonlight Greatsword Achievement Guide

This guide shows how complete Benhart of Jugo's Quest and get the Moonlight Greatsword Achievement.

Prologue

To start the Jugo's Quest, you must have in your inventory a Fragrant Branch of Yore[darksouls2.wikidot.com], to free Rosabeth of Melfia.

To complete his questline, you must defeat 3 bosses with his help, and he must survive all of them.

Note: You can kill the same boss 3 times using Bonfire Ascetics[darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com], if Jugo survive, the progression will count towards the questline, and after you speak with him, the achievement will unlock.

Encounters

The first encounter with Jugo is in Majula, in the path between Majula and the Shaded Woods. You need rescue Rosabeth of Melfia (using the Fragrant Branch of Yore[darksouls2.wikidot.com]) and he will thank you and the quest will start. Talk to him until he repeats the dialogue.


The second encounter, is in Drangleic Castle at the Central Bonfire. After you kill the Twin Dragonriders, he will be near at bonfire.


The third encounter is right after the Pursuer Boss, in Forest of the Fallen Giants.


The last one is inside of Memory of Orro (the memory exactly after the Pursuer Boss). He will be right in begin of the area.

Summoning

Brightstone Cove Tseldora - Magus and Congregation

Sign is in one of the tents near the first bonfire, the one with the practice dummy. Note: After some tests, this boss battle not count towards his quest progression.

Drangleic Castle - Looking Glass Knight

Sign is to the right just before the fog gate.

Memory of Jeigh - Giant Lord

Down the Stairs from Captain Drummond's Soul sign. Note: Must talk to him in Memory of Orro before his sign appears here.

Drangleic Castle - Queen Nashandra

Sign is to the right just before the fog gate. Note: The Throne Watcher & Defender boss battle will not count towards his quest progression.

Dragon Sanctum - Elana, Squalid Queen

In back of some pillars away from boss fog gate.

Complete the Quest!

To complete the quest, you must talk with him again after defeat 3 bosses. The easiest way to find him, is in Memory of Orro. After you talk with Jugo, he will give you his sword: BlueMoon Greatsword[darksouls2.wikidot.com] and the achievement will unlock.

Yeah, but the guide is for the achievement, not the weapon. The achievement is named "Moonlight Greatsword".

I was talking about the original Moonlight Greatsword. If this guide shows you how to get the Bluemoon Greatsword which is the fake one that you get off from Benhart, you should change the title of your guide. Because the original sword is Moonlight Greatsword with special magic attack.

My friend, BlueMoon Greatsword e Moonlight Greatsword are two different weapons. The Achievement is "Moonlight Greatsword" because Benhart think he's sword is the original, but it's just a fake.

You dont need this to get the sword. Just use bonfire ascetic at the last bonfire in Brightstone Cove and kill Duke's Freja. With her soul plus 10,000 souls you can get the moonlight greatsword from Ornifex by trade.

Good guide but I have 2 things to say:

1. Like The God Wolf said, you can kill the same boss 3 times with ascetics to get the quest done, you don't say that anywhere in the guide.

2. You have links to fextralife wiki, that wiki sucks. Wikidot is a lot better.

CAST Moon Cow, I don't know if was patched, but some wikis have an information that is possible beat the same boss 3 times (using the ascetic), but need be tested.

AJ, I guess he is asking if is possible beat the boss (with Jugo's help), and then burn an ascetic and then fight the same boss again.
