Introduction

Hello all! Lonnie here with my next spoiler-free guide project; The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles! Because these later games tend to be the longest in the series, I had to split up the games to keep the guide from running too long or being too cluttered. This guide will be for the first game in the duology, The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures.

Per usual, I will go into detail for every single achievement and step you need to take to complete the game as concisely as possible. Each step will be labeled in different ways, such as Achievement steps. I write my guides as I play the games to ensure they are as accurate as possible. I try to proofread each part before I move on, but I'm not perfect! If you guys see any errors or something that needs clarification or even have an easier way to get an achievement or to a certain point, don't hesitate to let me know so I can update the guide!

Disclaimers and Important Things to Note

• I play the Ace Attorney games on mouse and keyboard, so I will be operating my guides by that medium. If you play on controller, just press the appropriate controller button!
  
• If you are going for 100% achievements, DO NOT PLAY THE GAME IN STORY MODE! Story Mode is essentially just an automatic playthrough, so a lot of achievements are disabled (including story-based ones. Play the game manually!)
  
• I will include any gameplay tips in the solution guide, such as keystrokes that make the menus transition smoother
  
• I will include sections for each Chapter based achievement. I will also go into detail about where you need to go for each achievement in its proper Solution chapter, so don't worry about needing to use the Achievement section for keeping track!
  
• This game collection has an Accolades section in the Special Contents. You can check all of your progress for multi-part achievements in that section, making it way easier to see what you're missing for the achievement.
  
• Some achievements can be unlocked no matter which game you complete the requirements in. In cases like that, I will note which achievements are for unlockable across games.

The only case in this game that doesn't have a trial despite being a murder investigation, however you'll meet a new main character and learn one of the best mechanics in the series, the Dance of Deduction.

Dance of Deduction Start: The game is afoot!

Once Sholmes finishes his deduction, Ryuunosuke will be tasked with correcting it. This mechanic plays similar to a cross-examination, but instead of pressing witnesses and such, you will be fixing the flaws in the deduction until the truth is revealed.
Note: On PC when you play the Dance of Deduction for the first time, the game will automatically bring you to the incorrect deductions. I will include the statements that are incorrect and the solutions.
Warning: Like cross-examinations, the Dance of Deduction will induce penalties for clicking the wrong object or presenting the wrong evidence. You only have 5 chances, and if you fail you will have to start all over again from the beginning of the Course Correction. If you're worried, save before each Dance of Deduction!

New Mechanic - Summation Examination
Summation Examination is a special kind of cross-examination, however instead of witness testimony you will be pitting the jurors statements against each other. You will be tasked with pressing, presenting evidence, or pursuing to get the jurors to complete their statements, which at that point allows you to pit statements against each other to change their verdicts. A super fun way to keep a case going, and like all other TGAA mechanics I will go into detail for everything you need to do to make it as streamlined and painless as possible.

2. Converse with Iris about the Wilson topic, and then examine the chalkboard again. Iris will then talk to you about Black Peter, giving you the second part for this achievement.

At the start of Episode 5 once the initial dialogue ends you can move to Sholme's Suite. Examine the fireplace. The achievement will proc after this dialogue finishes.

During Part 3-1 - Trial when the Skulkin brothers are testifying, press them on a statement and pursue the other brother. You have to do this once for each of them to get the achievement. (You can theoretically do this at any point during their testimonies, but you need to do it on each brother)

Achievement - During the Skulkin Brothers' testimony, you need to press and pursue both brothers. To do this, press one brother and then pursue the other right after. (For example, press any of Nash's statements and then pursue Ringo, then press any of Ringo's statements and pursue Nash) You need to do this for each brother, and the Sulky's Story achievement will unlock once you do so. If the achievement doesn't pop, then you didn't properly press and pursue both brothers.
Note - There will not be any marker of when to pursue the brothers like with true pursuits. Just pursue them at any point to get the achievement. This achievement can be theoretically obtained at any point in the trial when the two are on the stand (but it's best to just do it right away so you don't forget)

The only difference is one option basically tells you what to point out and one option requires you to find it yourself.

The Real Truth of the Omnibus Case

This game and its sequel are two of my all time favorite games in the series. The story, characters, and mechanics were all so wonderful, it really was so exciting when this game finally got localized despite all of the sensitive topics within. I originally wrote guides for this game way back when they came out, so when I was replaying and copy-pasting into Steam I had to painstakingly go back and change up the names and dialogue. But it looks like I missed one! I actually don't even remember where I got this from in my original guide, might've been from an older translation honestly.

It's actually Traveling Case in this translation if you're using the DS2 translation for this guide, not sure. But that first bit in the second Deduction isn't right. The answer is correct, so it's a minor mistake. But just FYI if you're fixing things.

I can definitely see how that can be seen as a spoiler but I think when writing it I had assumed that no one would really know WHAT exactly that meant until they got to that point in the Episode, and by that point it wouldn't be a spoiler. But at the same time, I see how that could probably still be an issue, so I removed some of the wording and made it as vague as possible without missing the cue point (since that achievement was very specific and I believe it actually needs to be done at exactly that time but I could be mixing it up with another achievement)

As for the Part 5 achievement that was 100% a goof on my part. It's SUPPOSED to say "Part 3-1" but I must've fat-fingered the wrong number and didn't even blink on it when editing

I only looked at the achievement sections, not the walkthroughs but, couple SMALL notes:

Episode 2: Achievements- I *probably* would have preferred not to know about Nina's confession . It's a minor spoiler at best for sure, and it's pretty much expected to catch a few strays going into any achievement guide before experiencing the story. But you could probably reword it to like: During the second deduction of this section, in the background you can see a bed. During the deduction inspect the bed to unlock the achievement.

Episode 5: Achievements-
"During Part 1-1 - Trial" - I think the trial is actually like part 4. I just got a bit confused as I was expecting this part to pop up earlier, before the other listed achievements. Figured it out tho, nbd.
