Dialing back the sensitivity for more precise control
This guide is only made for one specific thing that drove me crazy about Driftwood: the extremely twitchy controls of the analog stick, especially at high speeds. Here is what I did to help smooth things out and give me a better experience. I used an XBOX 360 Controller but this will work similarly for other game controllers. Experiment if you don't like my settings.

Load Driftwood, bring up Steam overlay with SHIFT-TAB and click the little controller icon on the bottom of the screen to bring up the Steam Input screen. Click Enable Steam Input (circled in red)

Click Edit Layout

Click Joysticks on the left side

Click the little gear icon on the right as indicated. Make sure it is the gear icon for the stick you are using to control the board. For most people this will be the left stick.

Click the dropdown box as circled in red and select Custom Curve, then modify the slider as desired. I'm using 110 right now and it is working quite well for 360 controller. Modify this setting as required for your own needs.

I recommend restarting Driftwood to make sure it takes effect, though most of the time it seems to work straight away. I always restart Driftwood after modifying this setting to make sure it changed correctly. Good luck!
