don't eat raw food - cook it!

campfire is cheap and easy (also warms you up), but update to cauldron asap

don't be a dummy and make single-effect/over100 food unless you have an abundance of easy food or it is a grass snake steak that has very short buff duration

while gathering grass there will be green bugs - beebles, they are useful for making animal feed, but in aerly game their reducing of hunger rate is very handy

when spear fishing - kill only a couple from every lake and make sure that there are at least two left in the lake so they could replentish their count

beeble + fish meat = early hunter food

hunt for grass snakes

three grass snake meats = eat every time before harvesting

gather fully grown/blooming cropss - leaving a couple of wild "farms" on a right side of lakes (plants will eventually spread if you come and gather all grass around blocking space regularly)

meat/fish + turnip + wheat = early fighting buffs

mining set

stuff
unlimited easy bones for spear or arrows on boss planet (regrowing spots like ferrite)

wooden spear -> bone spear -> crab spear

don't fight invasions near your base, every one I tried has some exploding mobs

make at least basic base on starter planet, untill you advance further, every death off-world will end in respawning there

with two windmills (eacy and cheap mats) or sun panels (limited early because of coal for steel) ferrite is easily farmable, steel is not - coal
alternatively if not burning through bullets just plop down two handcranks and spin them when you go near them

ore extractor dont have to be olaced on two tiles of ore crystal, if placed on only one crystal - will still prodycem but less efficiently

to connect wires through long distance (eg connecting windmill and mining thing) use (copper!) wire posts - they can have more slots added

to mine background tiles reach their border and go from there

if you fall in a hole in the ground and cant see anything because of no torches and mats for them in inventory - whip out your glowing orange tool, it is better than stumbling in the dark I promise
