Автор: ULQ
This guide will show you how to mod your JWE2 copy on Steam. Sure, this is pretty late, but better late than never, I suppose.

Start of Guide
Modding your copy of Jurassic World Evolution 2 is not recommended by Frontier (the game's developers). Also, Modding in general is very inconsistent with this game. Don't do it unless you know what you're doing.

So you want to mod Jurassic World Evolution 2, and didn't look it up on Youtube like any normal person? Either that, or you have no idea what you're doing and/or (for some reason) don't have a google account. That's bold, I must say. But you're here to learn how. So as someone who has 800 hours in this game and has gotten all the achievements (proof is below), I'll teach you that stuff.

Where to go
Here's what you need to do. First, right-click on the Jurassic World Evolution 2 app on the left hotbar of your library.

(Looks like this)

When you do that, go to Manage, then Browse local files.

This is what should show up.

You're nearly there.

Now, ignore everything except Win64. Click on Win64.

Now there's two things. Effects_Win64_SM60.arc, and ovldata. You can just ignore the ARC file and just click on ovldata.

Now this is where the fun begins.

Now, you can mod your game to your heart's content. However, you'll need some setup first.
Dependencies
You now know how to mod your copy of Jurassic World Evolution 2. But there are some dependencies for most mods. Firstly, you'll need to download ASCE (Or the Awesome Cobra Script Extender). Next, you'll need to download the KaiCore mods since they both tell you when you need to update your mods, and KaiCore General is mostly required for Kaiodenic's mods.

KaiCore - General[www.nexusmods.com]

Kaicore - Menu[www.nexusmods.com]

The next part of the guide will teach you how to actually mod your game.

Edit: Some mods also require the Expanded Colors Core, so here's the link.

Modding the damn game.
You might've noticed that the links I used were from a site called Nexus Mods. This is because that's where most JWE2 mods are published. So yes, you'll need to make a Nexus Mods account to proceed. Also, before downloading any mods, please scroll down a bit on that mod's page, and click on "Requirements". It will show you any mods required for that mod to work.

Now onto Modding!

First, search up JWE2 Mods so that you can go get some mods if you want them at any time. The JWE2 page for Nexus Mods will show up as the first result.

I recommend going back to download the KaiCore mods and ACSE as your starter mods as a tutorial of sorts. This is so your game doesn't crash because of your mods.

I'm using the Realistic Monorail mod by RADRR1985 and ilodev as an example. Link[www.nexusmods.com]

Go to your mod of choice and a page similar to this one will show up.

Click FILES, and this should show up. Note: The name of what will be downloaded will be similar to the mod you're going to download

If this shows up, make a Nexus Mods account. It is required if you want to mod your game.

Now click MANUAL DOWNLOAD, then Slow Download

Now you have the Mod installed! However, you need to put the mod in the Game files manually. Here's how.
Drag and drop.
Now you have your mod downloaded. Now here's how to mod it for real.

First, click on your freshly downloaded mod.

Next, drag most of the contents of the Compressed folder. [Exceptions include "Read me" and stuff like that]

Now you have your mod installed! After putting ACSE and the KaiCore mods in your game, of course.
Now here's some information you might need to know,
Additional Information
Sometimes, your game will crash. Why is that? Mostly, it's because of the Guest NPCs. There's so many of them, all with simulated brains and pathways. Sure, 10s of them are in groups, but that still is a lot of data. This is also the reason why big JWE2 Youtubers close their parks during Park Tour videos.

Also, Mods don't just effect Sandbox. They effect all of the game modes. If you want to get all the achievements like I did, don't mod your game until you get them all. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
The End
Now you know how to mod your game! Also, this is the first guide I've ever made. So that explains why some parts don't look as good as other guides. Have fun with your newfound reality bending abilities!

does that mean that there would be a third game?

slvt Yes. But now that the game has lost support from Frontier, that is barely an issue.

some mods dont break after every update.
ULQ  [автор] 17 січ. о 12:02
Simple; you can't. If a mod states that it's outdated, it's outdated and most likely forever will.

Eginer Gaymign I see your problem. This mod also requires Expanded Colors Core and Species Viewer Fix. Download those first and see if it works then
