[WIP] Isles of Sea and Sky Pathing Guide

This guide is meant to reflect my journey, as I try to figure out how to path this game.

1. Introduction

Attention! This guide does not serve as a walkthrough of all the puzzles. It rather shows how to maneuver your way on the maps.

1.1. Maps of islands

10.1. Ancient Island

You start in the Ancient Island, at B3. You get a GK and immediately use it to progress further to B2. Next is A2, where you get a GK - there's one more GK here, but won't be available until later.

Use the left down exit to A3, use a GK to get another GK at the top of the cliff. Jump down and obtain GK in the middle. Then reset the room and obtain another GK.

Go to A1 to obtain another GK. Go to B2 and use one GK. At C2 obtain one more GK and go to C3, to obtain one more GK. Go back to C2 and use three GK to go to C1 and then C0. Here you will get your first ST. Going back to C1 you will get GK and access to world map.

10.2. Stoney Cliffs

Go straight north and land on Stoney Cliffs, at E2. There is GK here, but you must miss it for now. Go left to D2 and get first BG. Then move left to C2, use your GK to get a BG to the right, you'll miss BG to the left. Move down to C3 and obtain two more BG.

Now move to C0 to get Bronze Rune, and you can immediately get another BG (two more pickups will be available in a minute). Move to C1 - now take a path down, on far left end of the map. There's a key waiting at the end of this path, at B2 (will be back for ST and BG later).

Go back to C1 and move left to B1. Here you use one GK and gain another GK and, after resetting, another BG. Make sure to unlock stairs upwards (green arrow gate leading up) and go to B0 through just unlocked path up.

Get a BG here, unlock another green arrow gate (three GK will be gathered later) and make your way back to C0 - now you've obtained Bronze Rune and can obtain ST and GK at this location.

Go back to C1 and get a ST. Go to A1 and step on the pressure plate to reveal a secret (remember it for later, spoiler: arrow pointing to the right at second position). Now go to A0, unlock a path and remember which which crate is golden (spoiler: upper left).

Go into the cave, you'll walk out also in A0. Head to B1 (there's a GK and ST here, you'll get it later), walk out of the cave to unlock a passage outside and then walk back in. Move to D1 (there's ST, GK, and BG at C1, for later), there's a secret here, but it not useful for now. Move to D0, there's also secret here, but it's also not useful.

Go to E0 and note which crate is golden (spoiler: upper right). Go back into the cave, move to B1 and go outside through the door.

From B1 go to C4 (ST will be collected later), unlock a gate with your new relic and go to D4 and then E4 - unlock a green arrow passage, note which crate is golden (spoiler: lower right) and then immediately go to left with through a path right above green arrow. There's a secret here which gets you a ST.

Get back to E4 and go through the cave. Go to C4 and unlock a green arrow gate with an stone elemental. Move up to C3 and collect a ST. Unlock a green arrow gate and go to C2.

20.1. Stoney Cliffs

You arrived at the underground gate at C2 in the Stoney's Cliffs' caves. Remember how the glyphs are shown on gate and chests - you will need it to open the gate.
Solution:
Go to the four corners of the map - move chests there accordingly:
A0 on map: move chest to lower right position
A4 on map: move chest to upper right position
E0 on map: move chest to lower left position
E4 on map: move chest to upper left position

Now move to D2, there's GK here to collect. Move to D1, unlock both green arrow gates. Move to B2 and unlock another green arrow gate. Move through door to get outside and move to C2 - get BG.

Go to B3, unlock green arrow gate in top left corner (we'll get ST later), and go up to B2. Here collect previously missed ST and BG. Go inside the cave, there's a secret here to unlock a gate leading upward. Unlock it, and then change direction to go to A2 through a secret.

Move to A3, find a secret a note arrow configuration (spoiler: blue arrow pointing up at first position). Go outside, and note arrows again after standing on pressure plate (spoiler: golden arrow pointing left at third position).

Go to A4, move crate according to solution and go through inside the cave. Go to E4, go outside and repeat placing chest on the right spot.

Move upwards going via beach (at E3 there's an arrow which we cannot get to for now), and when you get to E2, get a GK. At E1 there's a ST which we we'll collect later - for now step on pressure plate and note arrow position (spoiler: golden arrow pointing down at first position).

Move up to E0, move chest to correct position and then head down to caves. Head all the way to A0, and outside there's last chest to move. Go down to A1, unlock 5-star gate, and after cutscene obtain ST. Go to A2, unlock green arrow gate and head back to B0 (right stairs from B1). Here you can now collect three GK.

Go to B1 and go to the caves. Via D1, you can head to C2 and then to C1 (if you solved chest puzzle correctly). Here you get a Stone Gauntlet, ST, GK and BG.

Now head to B1, moving left - here you can acquire GK, and then move to the same room you're in but from the bottom. You can get ST in the same room, when you'll enter from path leading down.

Go to E4 and uncover a secret, that will reveal to you another arrow position (spoiler: blue arrow pointing left at second position).

Now move to D0, uncover a secret and get GK. Head to cave exit at E0 and then to C1, and then immediately into D1. Unlock green arrow gate, go inside the cave, unlock some more gates and head to E1.

At E1 collect ST and step on pressure plate to reveal arrow position.
