A list of the best mods to get the definitive experience in KH3

Update July 5th

Looks like SE launched an update for KH3 to optimize the game on Steam Deck and it broke some mods. To fix this install this first: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomhearts3/mods/2201

The directory where the files should go is the next: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KINGDOM HEARTS III\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content

Preparations

First of all we should prepare the game directory to install mods:

• Go to your game directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KINGDOM HEARTS III\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\Paks (Default)
  
• In Paks folder create a folder named: ~mods
  
• All mods go to ~mods folder

• Expanded Data Greeting: This mod expands Data Greeting to have 99 total maps, including full, not cut off maps from the base game, unused/cut maps, and custom maps. Just a mod that fixes some artifacts and increases Screen Space Reflections by a lot at no performance cost, it also improves game's LOD and adds motion blur outside cutscenes

Yeah I tried looking around myself but couldn't really find anything but thanks for the response. I'm doing critical with pro codes and accidentally missed out on the forest clasp (all because I didn't know it existed and that I had to splash Rapunzel) and would love to have it without having to replay everything

Hi, I just read (literally right now) that Square pushed an update that breaks mods, this was made in order to optimize the game for Steam Deck.

According to OpenKH: Delete all of these _0_P files in KH_3\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\Paks to fix it

This may deoptimize the game for Steam Deck but we’re still uncertain
