Nub's Mushroom Log Layout

This is just theoretical. Treat the sprinklers as any tree of your choice. Each mushroom log is surrounded by at least 10 trees.

I don't even remember. All I remember is that I heard somewhere that the logs should be surrounded by 10 trees. I used to know why, but I can't remember.

Still didn't answer my question, is it to increase how often they produce, what they produce, the total yield per harvest, or the quality?

The point is to have as many logs as possible, make it easily expandable, while each log is surrounded by 10 trees.

It's only theoretical because I've never used mushroom logs before. My runs usually suck, so I don't make it to winter before deleting my farm and starting over. This may very well be a crappy layout and I just don't know it yet lol.
